Fantastic textured sound. Beautiful use of cello and mallets, awesome guitar. The finish is so early Pink Floyd. Wonderful track!

A deeply engaging mood and atmosphere greets the listener early-on in the experience and sets the stage wonderfully well for what comes next !! And there’s a subdued and languid feel at times that evokes a wide range of emotions in the way you brilliantly bring the piece vividly to life.

As the project continues to unfold beyond this significant milestone, the narrative holds an almost hypnotic grip—an invitation to step further into the unknown. The protagonist, trapped in a liminal space between consciousness and oblivion, becomes both an observer and an enigma within their own existence. Each new chapter seems to whisper secrets of the subconscious, weaving together fragmented memories, distant echoes, and existential questions that refuse easy answers.  The music itself reflects this journey, evolving into a symphony of contrasts—delicate yet powerful, melancholic yet hopeful, chaotic yet meticulously structured. There is a sense of inevitability in the way the motifs intertwine, building toward something elusive, something just beyond reach.

The title and middle chorus (the only lyrics in the song) came from the fact that after recording, i felt it needed another section, like a bridge, but got too lazy to find something to fit. Thus the line “I can’t find the bridge to New Funk City”. 

Still can’t find it.   ;O)

This can probably be considered the 3rd in a trilogy of tracks created almost entirely with short loops and sound samples in Garageband ('Dark Roast', and 'Sneaky Reggae' are the other 2). My part, besides the vocals and a bit of organ, clavinet playing, and drum fills, is arranging the pieces together into this song. Pretty fun experimenting this way.

Epos of the Fallen Pt 3 Final Chapter

A song recorded in 2023 inspired by a documentary I watched based on the child care system in Great Britain.
So as we all get ready to enjoy Christmas with our family and friends spare a thought for this. 
There’re was a little boy who shared a memory that all he as left of his life with his real mother  was a few toy soldiers and a snow globe.
They sat on a shelve for him to think & remember that for whatever reason his mother gave him up. 
He was one of the lucky children who managed to get adopted and find a new loving family to take care of him. 
Others not so and stay In children’s homes until they were 18.
And here is the problem once they became 18 they became no longer a problem for the system. 
With  little or no help they  are expected to leave & fend for themselves without the love or security like a normal young person would expect from his family. 
The system is so floored & totally under funded hence kick the can down the street & watch it land at another’s feet.
Not the government’s problem anymore.
The adoption system is such a long draw out process that it puts future potential step parents off. 
So many children just stay in the system until they are 18 and then are classed as adults.
They may be adults but not ready for the world alone, outside the door.
We still guide our own adult children through their journey into further education, work, relationships, home buying & beyond.
It scares me that we have youths carrying knives & even guns for protection and in other cases just to conform to gang culture and be the big man. 
Im sure that a lot of these youths have a loving family, warm house, food in their belly & wear designer clothes. Yet still find the urge to harm someone because it makes them feel good and show off.
I’m sure we could write a fluffy Christmas song with all the cliches  but we choose not to. 
Hope you enjoy and pause for thought.
