I'm getting a more and more uplifting feel as it progresses, nice touch with the tempo change too, very well constructed!

Truly like this piece :D It came up when I had my soundcloud stream oin while I worked. So I had to look who it was. Truly nice. Well done :)

My Beautiful Prison 


Well I know how it feels to hurt,
Though I don’t claim to be an expert,
I’m not letting this make my heart inert,
So I will remain always alert.

I’ve not made disbelief my religion,
I can hope without condition,
This has been my own decision,
So here am I in my beautiful prison.

Maybe it’s better to tend
The flowers I’ve grown,
Keep up with all of the friends I’ve known,
That way I’ll never be on my own,
But I still feel like a man alone.

I don’t want to give up hope,
I’m not despairing, I can cope,
The idea of love is not 
Hanging from a rope,
It’s just sealed away in an envelope.
