With humble beginnings in Diplo’s Philadelphia studio, Mad Decent’s unwavering mission is to highlight underground, genre-blurring sounds. Mad Decent tops iTunes, Beatport and Shazam charts worldwide with #1 Dance tracks and albums with releases from artists like Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Grandtheft, Party Favor, NGHTMRE and Yellow Claw. Mad Decent is also home to Good Enuff, a launchpad for artists breaking the norm; notable releases include Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” and DJ Snake’s “Bird Machine.” As an extension of the Mad Decent sound, Mad Decent Block Party was established in 2006 and now spans across North America and India.

Bishop Mayfield was born in N.Y.C and has been singing since the age of 5. He has been a fixture up and down California & Canada since 1966. Bishop is currently appearing with noted guitarist & songwriter Dave Storie in the powerfully dynamic “Bishop Mayfield & Friends Band” (Original, R&B, Funk, Blues-Rock, Fusion) based in Southern Oregon. He has toured with, jammed with, or open for such greats as Albert Collins, B.B. King, Al Wilson, Martha Reeves & The Vandella's, Tower Of Power, Jr. Walker & The All-Stars, Charlie Musslewhite, Ike & Tina Turner, Sugar Pie Desantos, John Lee Hooker,  Big Brother & the Holding Company, Jose Feliciano, James Brown,  Graham Central Station, Bo Diddley,  Etta James. Barbara Morrison, Crackin', Neal Schon, Sonny Terry  & Brownie Magee, The Neville Brothers, Buddy Guy & Junior Wells, Norton Buffalo, Steel Pulse, Pato Banton, Burning Spear, Esther Phillips,  & many, many more. Currently he is also working with the Supergroup “SouliVerse” a 10 piece R & B band in Medford Oregon. He has performed at many noteworthy venues over the years in California, Oregon, Canada, & around the country.    A few venues of note are The Craterian Theatre, The Jackson County Fair, The Southern Oregon Music Festival, The Oregon Wine Experience,The Monterey Bay Blues Festival, The Mission Ranch, The Keystone Corner’s in Palo Alto, Berkley , & San Francisco, Biscuit & Blues in S.F., The Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, and JJ's Blues club in San Jose to name just a few in the bay area. He also worked and lived in Eureka ca.  for over 30 years and performed  at such places as The Old Town Bar & Grill, Youngberg’s, The Jambalaya, The Vance Log Cabin, Fogs, Stephen's of Eureka, as well as The Mateel Community Center in Redway Ca.
