Gaya Belissama came to appreciate electronic music later in her life but she immediately fell in love with the vibrations, energies and realms of progressive trance, psytrance, and psy tech. Gaya  Bellissama has been performing  at local psytrance  events in the city and festivals  throughout  BC, such as  D6 psytrance  festival  and  Solaris Gathering.

She also collaborated with Visionary  Shamanic Records curating dark forest events and is a Co-founding Partner of Gaia Sound Music events – a collective that is committed to promoting contemporary underground psychedelic music at its best and supporting and creating opportunities for collaboration of musicians, music producers, DJs, VJs, dancers and other artists all over the world.

A sonic sorcerer weaving a tapestry of psychedelic beats and enchanting melodies across Alberta and British Columbia. With a diverse palette spanning of all kinds of PsyTrance, Prog Trance, Bass House, and Techno, I've ignited dance floors at outdoor festivals like Synesthesia, Uncanny Hootenanny, Meraki, Awakening of the Lotus, 6th Dimension, and Solaris. Indoors, I've captivated audiences for Altry Crew, Particle Wave, Gaia Sound and The Faculty Lounge events. As a Twitch affiliate, I conjure up monthly Full Moon extravaganzas and spontaneous sonic journeys. For two mystical years, I held court on True North Radio with "Lunar Waves," casting spells over the airwaves. With an insatiable appetite for sexy psychedelic basslines, I'm here to elevate your consciousness and set your spirit free on the dance floor. Join me as we embark on a cosmic odyssey of rhythm and groove.

Growing up in sunny South Africa, she was initiated in the twilight tribe . . . she knows firsthand why the region birthed such a sound. Stomping her way through Johannesburg’s starry nights, she sought the sun, and as the dawn broke through one morning, NYX was reborn. With a lifelong love kindled, she carried her passion across the long waters to Vancouver, pursuing a better balance of night and light. Finally, NYX found the infamous Alluvium festival, and knew she had found her true musical family. 

Since then, NYX has shared the stage with the likes of Space Tribe, Spectra Sonics, Kabayun, Etnica, Menog, Jumpstreet, Ingrained Instincts, and many others.
She was signed to PsynOpticz Records in 2017 and has released two VA’s with the label – Seekerz and Seekerz II 

An adamant acolyte of the straight 148, NYX may still play coy, soft and sweet, seducing you with soft strings and trippy textures. She may punish with pulsing bass or dazzle with swirling synths, guiding you through till morning with stars in your eyes. Please welcome NYX of the Night.
