We are thrilled to present our 19th release "Mapinguari," a captivating musical journey created by the talented Brazilian artists Mandruvá and Torstol. Inspired by the legendary creature of the Amazon rainforest, this EP features two unique remixes by Leonor and A-Tweed.

The Legend of Mapinguari: Rooted in the rich folklore of the Amazon Region, the Mapinguari legend tells of a forest-dwelling creature, a hairy giant with one eye on its forehead and a mouth on its navel. Some believe it is covered in brown/red fur, while others say it dons armor made from the shell of a tortoise. This mythical being's origins remain shrouded in mystery, with various versions attributing its existence to indigenous tribes living in the heart of the rainforest. According to certain beliefs, individuals of a certain age may undergo a transformation into the Mapinguari, leading them to seek solace in the isolation of the lush woodlands.

The "Mapinguari" EP combines the visionary prowess of Mandruvá and Torstol, resulting in an enchanting blend of sounds that draws listeners into the heart of the Amazonian mystery. Leonor and A-Tweed contribute their unique interpretations, adding further layers of depth and artistry to this already captivating release. The sonic world of "Mapinguari" by Mandruvá & Torstol will be available on all digital Plattforms from September 15th 2023. Beyond The Struttosphere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs combining their considerable musical production experience with an insatiable passion for cosmic chugging dark disco. 

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. True to its name, the lead track evokes an epic space voyage propelled by driving arpeggiators, chunky layered percussion, high-octane guitar hits and the signature BTS chug bassline. The tune progresses into a tectonic breakdown heightened by spacey Juno chords before launching into a dynamite crescendo that burns contrails through the atmosphere. Remixes are provided by two bastions of the scene: Mexican dark wave star Vongold introduces lustful celestial vocals into the mix, dialling down the tempo, and repurposing the track into a post-punk acid chugger that takes no prisoners. French dark disco connoisseur Badknife applies his masterful touch with a second remix, cranking up the throb and deploying interstellar synth arrangements that will have you reaching for your seatbelt. 

The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come. The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset. 

The EP concludes with ‘Storming Heaven’, a sonically charged acid trip that adventures through the cosmos, guided by a weighty chugging bass, a psychedelic 303 line, tripped out guitar chords and an array of cosmic FX. The tune traverses two mystical breakdowns before ascending into stratospheric planes with a euphoric synth sequence and a staggering guitar solo courtesy of long-time BTS collaborator Stannard Procedure. Very pleased to welcome Space Commander Miss Zagato on the show! Released on French label La Dame Noir Marseilles when the Titan Submarine sank to deathly depths, Miss Zagato has had a knack for the prophetic.
The co-producer of Quattrovalvole recorded the lyrics for Via Tokyo two weeks before Kepler-1649C was identified by the retired Kepler Satellite as an exoplanet, habitable for human life, '300 light years' from Planet Earth. Danse Alice brings out more darkness in Submarine, Ludviq's Denoche remix bangs in sync bringing us into some underwater disco, the vocals of Edd Brave's track spiral with bubbles an underwater kiss into Miss Zagato's vocals like a siren's seduction, with Ivan Fabra's remix of heaven for Beyond the Struttosphere's long awaited Satellite Cities (played by these guitar playing Cosmonauts at Electric Brixton, Glastonbury, Ukupulka). Badknife comes in like an 80s werewolf on Beyond the Strutt's Odyssey-10 taking us back to the moon with those signature Strutt guitars from space. We don't know how she does it, but Ledi Cannit takes tinkle bells in Italo Disco to the industrial warehouse party, like taking Miss Zagato from the Hermitage terrace to an underground party, propping her up on a chain belt and seeing if she can balance. We're there now, so we all dance to Ulises Arrieta's Rider remix for Iuan LaTech and then Brandski's remix of Darpah for Dog.ma takes us through a door to the 80s. Nouveau Futur push us back through the same door but we're in a corridor, willingly seduced by someone from the other side. Betty69's vocals tell us we don't want to go anywhere now, stay and get lost in the dark corridor, with this here stranger. We can feel the walls banging from the rooms full of darkness and Italo. Ah, but then someone reaches in and grabs you from the Italo room and pulls you into clean, unadulterated tritones of Quattrovalvole's first single Into the Night (vinyl only, Furioza/Bordello a Parigi). Then you're brought out to the smoking room, there's only a few people, leaning against the wall. The lights are bright, you don't know what you're doing there. You start thinking about that Submarine, and what is this? You're floating.

Oblako Maranta is the collaboration between Radial Gaze and A-Tweed. The duo has  already released several tracks in different compilations by Samo Records, Electric  Shapes, Playground Records, as well as their debut EP “Maranta Kicks” on Duro. 

In their new EP “Trance Beckenbauer”, the St-Petersburg-based Radial Gaze and  Rome-based A-Tweed produced 4 original tracks that finely blend the sound of each  artist, where slow tribal techno meets acid weird disco. 

Starting off with the title track “Trance Beckenbauer”, Oblako Maranta brings us through  a cinematic voyage, paced by percussive wonders and catchy bass lines, hypnotizing  the listener from the first kick on. The atmosphere is dark, trippy, beautifully loved in an  analog synth “duvet”. With that feeling of timelessness, “Trance Beckenbauer” sounds  like the perfect fit for the next Blade Runner´ s soundtrack. 

Next on the tracklisting is “Putos Mosquitos”, a tune that gives a feel of crossing a jungle  full of wild life, with weird acid patterns on repeat, groovy percussions, and that sense of  limitless adventure as the track plays on. 

“Congarella di Luna” is a bewitching tune blending a mesmerizing melody with dreamy  pads, finely arranged as the drop brings the energy down before reaching its paroxysm:  an irresistible melodic pattern that will leave no one still on the dancefloor. 

The fourth track “Analog Garbage” ´should bring any human being on the planet to an  ecstatic state as it infuses that energy that makes you move fast and forward, without  looking back. Indeed, “Analog Garbage” is driven by a fat bass riff and a kick-drum that  tirelessly hammers the pace, while acid melodies are raining as the track unfolds. And  there is that drop… 

The EP is completed with first-in-class remixes by Inigo Vontier and Zillas on Acid, who  reworked “Putos Mosquitos” and “Congarella di Luna”, respectively.
