My first special gig at Afrikaburn 2022! I had the opportunity to play Thursday night at this amazing place called Ilukuluku.. the temple of curiosity. I partly recorded this DJ set and hope that it will bring back all the great memories from that evening! The energy and love that was shared there by all people was and is still overwhelming. 'See Love' you see at the top of the Temple. Well... I saw love everywhere, so to everyone who was part of that special evening, thank you for being there with me!

What we know, at least for us, is that embracing the darkness, not ignoring it, can be extremely liberating and lead us towards light.

Skarú - Half A Prophet

This track was the result of a workshop at Ableton’s Pasadena headquarters just a week or so after the Eaton fire was contained. The air was still heavy and acrid, and recent political events were depressing and enraging. But I had a creative community at the workshop, and making this track alongside them returned me to the things that matter most. The sounds of Pasadena that week are all over this track: people in cafes in the morning and bars at night, my colleagues discussing ideas and chatting, the sounds of the street, and above all the sound of the automated crosswalk declaring “WAIT”. I took it as a reminder that all things pass. And as a reminder to take a moment to be in the moment. There will be better days. Take a breath. Wait.

Vibronica’s first release is as diverse as the Universe itself. The mixture of 11 multifaceted tracks is a melting pot of particles coming from all the beautiful producers who were about to participate in Vibronica Festival 2020, but due to Covid interference was rescheduled to 2021.
