Ethnographic Sound Library is a cycle of project conducting at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology - Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland)

To many, Russia, and the wider Eurasia, is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. But it doesn’t have to be. Stereo soundscape recordings. Sometime nature, sometimes people, sometimes machinery. Sometimes quiet things like a single branch creaking in the wind on Dartmoor, sometimes odd moments in the city. Mostly local, but sometimes travelling. 

Silence can be defined as a soundscape with loudness below 20 dB. 
This project in an open archive which collect silence as soundscape/field recording below 20 dB.
This is an attemp to create a sound museum of silence.
