This is my second Michael Bernard Beckwith production, with a different message and vibe from the first. In this mix Dr. Beckwith is captured speaking on stage and thus his high energy and passion can really be heard and felt. The message is from his phenomenal audio program; "The Rhythm of a Descended Master", which I highly recommend! I did my best to match his energy with a strong pulsating beat. At just 90 BPM it has an electronic hip hop type flavor to it. As stated in the title we truly are alright already!

Comments: Guru is that which directs one from (gu) darkness to (ru) light; from ignorance to the experience of one’s infinite nature. The Ardaas Bahee mantra may be translated, ‘The prayer that has been made to Guru Amar Das is guaranteed by Guru Ram Das.’ This is the mantra for answered prayers. 

Guru Amar Das is the third of the Sikh Gurus. He lived from 1479 to 1574. He is said to embody generosity and equality. Guru Ram Das, his son-in-law, is the fourth of the Sikh Gurus. He lived from 1534 until 1581. He is said to embody humility, loving service and compassion.

Ram means ’servant of the Lord.’ If you ask something of Guru Ram Das he has to bring it to God for you. Give your worries to Guru Ram Das and let him take them to God. The God that rotates the earth can certainly take care of your problems!

In two years of studio work they created an authentic roots reggae album that more than any other production of the last thirty years is reflecting the sound of the Bob Marley era. No wonder, as with Aston “Familyman” Barrett (bass) and Tyrone Downie (Hammond, piano and clavinet), two of the main Wailers play on the album. Earl “Chinna” Smith (guitar) and Uziah “Sticky” Thompson participated in countless reggae albums by artists such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh and Burning Spear, but also on rock and pop productions of Joe Cocker, Sinéad O’Connor, Grace Jones and Michael Franti, to name a few.

It is his hope that through exploring this emotional terrain, the listener will feel more deeply and live more fully. 

He has produced recordings with Deva Premal and Miten, Shiva Rea, and Jai Uttal, including Jai’s Grammy-nominated album “Mondo Rama”, to name a few. As a recording engineer he has worked with Joan Baez, Ledisi, and E-40, among many others, and performed as a drummer with Kurt Elling, Chico Freeman, and Michael Manring.  One of his former rock bands shared bills with Green Day, Primus, and The Ohio Players.
