Bio: 

Bohdan is a producer and DJ from Kyiv, one of the Ukrainian deep and hypnotic techno scene representatives. Half of the electronic project Asyncronous and founder of the ÆNIGMA events.

Short interview with Bohdan:

1.Background/the start:

"I have a rather long background story of drum'n'bass DJ, which smoothly turned into studio work with completely different music. I've always gravitated towards production, looking for a sound that would reflect the fullest spectrum of my musical preferences. The result wasn't connected or focused directly on techno, since I'm more interested not in the genre itself, but in the aesthetics of atmospheric sounds, hypnotic components and complex musicality, which allows you to create something more than just a dance groove".

2. Inspiration:

"I travel a lot, read a lot, fond of photography and documentaries, learning more about the traditions and culture of different eras and territories. All this gives a lot of food for thought and, of course, influences creativity. Ideas can come during a long walk in the woods or a train trip, you know, when looking through the window. Basically, nature itself is a greatest source of inspiration. At least I think art is the second most beautiful thing, first comes nature."

3. Artist situation/Local techno scene? 

"The Ukrainian scene has existed for a long time, although the world drew attention to it only 7-8 years ago. Now the scene is in its prime, thanks to the talented and distinctive artists, remarkable events and venues. It is important to note that Ukraine was one of the first countries in Europe to lift restrictions on night events after lockdown. So Kyiv has become one of the most popular destinations for artists and party people over the past few months."


4. Future:

"The current situation in the world forces us to talk less about plans and work more on current projects. Hope that next year will allow to embody much more than the previous ones. That's what I wish to all of us."

We've been playing Antonello's tracks quite a lot in our guestmixes and it's an absolute honor to be able to featur him on our show today.

After a previous experience in the collective Spacedrome, of
which he was co- founder and after exploring the world of
bass music, published several Ep. and played in many Italian
cities, international festivals and some Berlin clubs, the
accumulated life experiences have led to a new artistic
reflection.

Deep sound and Techno are his new language that is the
foundation for a musical expression rich in ambient and
atmospheric elements that outline the storytelling. 

After the first year dedicated to presentations and to the recording of
dozens of podcasts in 2020 Save Your Atoll begins to release
its own productions, first with a single with strong influences
"Burial" then contributing to the compilation for the 10 years of
The Gods Planet with Mediterranea on TGP X and finally
publishing in January 2021 The Universal Pattern, an Ep. of
three self-produced tracks.

Diego Santin aka @THEOREMdj is a DJ and producer currently living between Milan and the mountains of the Maggiore Lake.

Founder of the party and podcast channel “clausura” in 2019 and of the newborn Veddasca Sound festival, he has a quite long experience as DJ both in Italy and abroad, where he had the opportunity to be contaminated with different perspectives of the international electronic music scene.

Inspired by his continuous traveling, his selection focuses on ethereal, atmospheric and introspective tracks able to spread an immersive lightness throughout the entire dance floor. You can guess his past life as an engineer through his sounds characterized by a minimalistic, schematic and mathematic style of composition. This novelty was awarded by being selected for the final phase of “Jägermusic Lab” contest in September 2017 under the pseudonym of Archipelagus, his duo production project.

Between 2014 and 2018, he had been resident Dj for “q|Lab”, the most visionary and dynamic LGBTQ party in Milan while he has been invited as a guest in other clubs and venues. In 2021 he released a couple of tracks on DORIAN label, sharing his first EP with Kontinum.

Welcome to the 245th Chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. A weekly released podcast that brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. 

Bio:
Rui G.’s musical path isn’t that much different from any other of all the DJs of our time that are looking for their place in the sun. Year after year after, party after party the interest about electronic was groing and in 2009 he definitely went for a DJ approach. In 2011 Rui accepted the invitation to work with local event promotor Elements and this association is a step forward in his relationship with music, with invitations to play some of the events and most important clubs in the city of Coimbra alongside some DJ he admires such as: David Rodrigues, Nelson Flip, A.Paul, The Advent, Deepbass, Nobody Home, Brando Lupi, NTOGN, BLNDR, Antigone and Dorian Gray. Dedicated, curious, ambitious, he invests several hours a day to broaden his musical horizons and improve his technical skills.

About the mix:
Celebrating a birthday is always unique and special, but doing it among friends while sharing my life passion makes it a priceless momentum I will never forget.  Best of all is to feel your affection and presence not only today, but every day of my life.
