With over 10,000 records to his name, DJ Nobu is deeply immersed in a wealth of sounds ranging from uncomplicated club anthems to those more experimental in nature. His Future Terror parties, hypnotising sets and lean catalogue have largely cultivated a reputation for menacing techno, though lucky for his fans he’s just as adept when it comes to upbeat house. For this, his second Bassiani Podcast outing, the latter takes the stage with the Japanese polymath delivering a three hour set of light and playful beats recorded live at Horoom in early April. Mixing everything from cheesy disco to tropical synths, this is a breath of fresh air from the sought-after cult figure from Chiba.

Since rolling his musical sleeves up in 2006, the name Voiski has exponentially grown in renown; his endless quest for new sounds manifested across a number of releases and self-started labels like Silicate and Super 95. Add to that a cosmically ordained taste for collaboration that has seen him join forces with names as diverse as Vril, Antigone and Svengalisghost and you have one of the most prolific and exciting names to have come out of France in the last decade. There’s a touch of classic loop techno, noughties electro and a newfound affection for Persian mysticism in his work, eagerly cross-bred to make his inimitable ‘post-trance’ sound. Born in 1980 in Metro Detroit and subject to the city's mid-90's warehouse parties, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement.  His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance-floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood.

Luke's faith based music production landed him a seat with Omar S' FXHE label & Carl Craig's Planet-e label in Detroit.  Hess has celebrated original productions and remix material on labels such as DeepLabs, FXHE, Planet-e, Dolly, Motech, Rekids, Echocord, Kontra-Music, Modelisme, Ornaments, Echocord Colour, & more.  In 2009, Luke released his first album, "Light in the Dark" on Denmark-based record label, Echocord.  "Light in the Dark" received glowing reviews and was hailed by many as one of the best deep techno albums of the year.  His second artist album "Keep On" was release on CD in 2012 and on 2x12" vinyl in 2013 and received a superb score of 4.5/5 & recommended review on Resident Advisor.

With over 15 years of DJ experience and many notable LIVE sets across the world, Luke is regarded as a perfectionist on stage.  Hess is known to layer his sets in a very detailed, hypnotic, & soulful manner.

Doved up 4!  The doved up mixes are all about the softer side of oldskool, lots of uplifting stuff with plenty of piano...The last one was quite popular and I had another load of piano tunes ready to go, so here it is.  This isn't my  usual thing as there's more in the way of obvious stuff, but I haven't done a mix with this lot in for years, so I think it's OK!  Aside from the unashamedly obvious tunes, there are some lesser known gems, mashups and edits to try and keep it interesting!
