A one true Legend and Genre defining artist…the one and only..Dj Pierre!

A true pioneer, DJ, Producer, Remixer, Club Owner and Promoter…DJ Pierre’s innovative approach to music production and his role in the creation of acid house have left an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape. 
His contributions to the Chicago house scene and the global development of house, acid house, and techno music cannot be overstated.

Not many can lay claim too giving birth to a genre and pioneering a sound (not one but two genres—Acid House and Wildpitch) that had the whole world dancing and imitating for over thirty years. 

Back in the day (late 80’s) when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom when he picked up a Roland TB-303 (along with his friends Spanky and Herb J aka pHuture) and the infamous “Acid Tracks” was born…

"So just who the fuck are these guys? or girls? I don’t know, but since I last wrote about this outfit in the Fall, Faceless Junkies Deluxe have released something like 3 albums, 4 EPs and at least 50 new tracks of analog fuzz and smoldering electronics. Techno 18+ Vol 3 is another 12 tracks of drum machines and squeezeboxes chained together in the belly of some dank European basement and beaten into tune. Each of these are distinct but like the people behind Faceless Junkies Deluxe they’re disguised, hiding in plain sight as just random session captures rescued off old DAT tapes. “Faceless 909 116” is wild – you’d swear you can feel the Holy Ghost getting ready to leap out of you or a demon leap in as it spirals into a loop of snares and kicks and digital wails melting together.

These guys are shoving more work out the door than anyone could market (and they’re not trying to market these things at all) but don’t let that fool you: this is an amazing project, hundreds upon hundreds of tracks by now of one or more people who love the fucked up shit they’re making."
