Mark Broom’s mammoth discography shows an artist who has put in the hours, boasting appearances on legendary imprints such as Robert Hood’s M-Plant, Warp Records, Pure Plastic, Bpitch Control, and of course Rekids. Alongside his solo work, his collaborations are an equal tour-de-force, with groups such as The Fear Ratio with James Ruskin counted as fan favourites.

Here though, Broom takes the reigns solo, drawing on decades worth of experience for a 12” of mind-altering cuts for one of electronic music’s most vital labels. Lead track ‘Fingers’ sees the British
DJ/producer toying with rubbery basslines, glistening pads, and chunky percussion to deliver an irresistibly buoyant house track. ‘Slow’ follows suit, bringing another dose of deep low end next to eerie leads and shining synthesis.

On the flip, Broom enters electro-tinged territory on ‘Wild Style’, tying unruly machines together with vocal chops over a staggered, off-kilter drum pattern. Taking the B2 spot, ‘Facteur’ sees a reflective touch to the EP as emotive progressions unfurl under robust, mechanical hits, providing a cohesive and captivating taste of the LP to follow in July.

France-based Philippe Petit returns to Radio Slaves’ Rekids Special Projects with the six-track ‘Black Hole’ EP.

DJing since the early 90s, moving from Brussels to London before settling in Chamonix, France, Philippe Petit has been running both the Knotweed Records and Decision Making Theory labels for close to a decade now. Pushing music from the likes of Terrence Dixon, Opuswerk, Alberto Pascual alongside his own productions on these imprints, Petit has remained on the cutting edge of club-focused techno, earning him appearances at esteemed venues Berghain, Tresor, Corsica Studios and more.

Previously appearing on Rekids Special Projects with 2019’s ‘Anger EP’, Petit makes his second appearance on the label, turning in another set of stylistically diverse techno bombs. From the hypnotic synthesis and snaking acid lines of ‘Black Hole’ through to the laidback electro-infused live drums of ‘Lessons Learned’, Petit asserts his role as a critical underground figure in hard-hitting club music via his latest offering for Radio Slave’s techno-focused imprint.

Irish Techno DJ SYMØNE began her journey into the industry in 2018 and has since then made waves across Ireland and gained attention from collectives across the world. 

Crediting her households diverse music tastes as a youth she draws her repertoire from the old school rave scene, defaulting to trance and acid while also peppering in new age raw, melodic and minimal techno. This mixed spectrum of musical influence paired with an open mind and fierce curiosity translates seamlessly into her sets, where she picks apart and creates an infectious fusion of her favourite pieces of each subgenre.

Describing her sound as high energy with a dark yet feel-good vibe, Symone’s captivating & dynamic sets allow audiences to get lost in the beauty of heavy bass lines. 

The last year has seen Symone cement her name in the Irish music scene supporting artists such as 999999999, Matador, Dense & Pika, Rebuke and more in venues across the country. Ever evolving and having set the bar high for her work ethic, she continues to dedicate herself to the craft.
