Josiah Sprankle is a pianist and composer currently studying at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

I'm a jazz studies major at the UMKC Conservatory of Music. My primary instrument is the trombone but I am also a professional bagpiper. (Hence my username!)

Originally, I'm from Jensen Beach, FL and I'm currently studying clarinet performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Conservatory of Music and Dance! 

Undergraduate at the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC. I am a piano performance major. I love studying music, and being able to work with all these amazing people. 

I grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. Now studying double bass performance at the University of Missouri Kansas City in the Jazz department I am pushing to better myself through lots of practice and experiences.  Any piece of music is a good piece and music and all it takes is for you to find something you like about it to open someone up to listen to more and more.

A French speaker and native from Geneva, Switzerland, Aurélien is currently completing his Doctorate in Piano Performance as well as a Master's in Musicology at UMKC Conservatory where he holds a Teaching Assistantship. He previously obtained degrees in German (BA), Music Education (MME), and Musicology (BA) at the Geneva Conservatory, the University of Geneva, and the Bern Conservatory (BM). He also holds a Masters and Advanced Certificate in Piano Performance from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville.

As an experienced pedagogue, Aurélien has taught music to children and young adults for over ten years in the U.S. and internationally. He is currently working as a piano instructor at French House and Music. He is also the Director of the Roo Academy choirs at the Community Music and Dance Academy in Kansas City. As a performer, Aurelien has been an active soloist and collaborator in Europe as well as the U.S. His love for languages has brought him to work with many singers. He also has experience playing for opera productions for the Opera Theater in Fayetteville, AK. His most recent performance in Kansas City featured Debussy’s Preludes Book I and a selection of Cage’s Prepared Piano Sonatas.

In his desire to transmit and help others through music, Aurélien's interests have brought him to study and seek knowledge outside of the scope of music performance in fields such as biomechanics, human anatomy, somatic education, psychology and coaching. He has been working in the field of injury prevention for pianists and musicians with some of todays’ leading methods such as the Lister-Sink method, the Taubman approach and Alan Fraser’s approach to technique. He is also a practitioner of the Tomatis® Method, a technique of sound sensory stimulation.

In his free time, Aurélien serves as the senior ambassadors on the International Student Ambassadors board at UMKC to organize events for International students to help them adapt to Kansas City. He also enjoys working out, traveling and watching science fiction T.V. shows.

This platform is a way for me to share what I do with my family, my friends and people around the globe. These recordings are in now way perfect as most of them are live recordings, but I decided to post them anyway because I put my heart and soul in them. Everything is a work in progress. :) Enjoy!

Hello, I'm a college student studying music therapy at UMKC, I've also played bass for nine years. I love all types of music and anime. I'm kind of socially awkward and I am okay with that. Nice to meet you.

Jacob Beckloff is a vocalist pursuing a BME at the UMKC Conservatory of  Music and Dance. He is currently involved in two of the universities' choirs as well as Massenet's Cendrillon.
