Angus and Alex are the friends and bandmates behind Goodvibes Sound. Despite only starting to create music together in 2019 the two released their debut album “The Institute” in 2022 – a blend of upbeat discofied soul, indie doused in a heavy dose of psychedelic vibes. Inspired by 1970s California, hot tubs and beach bars, Goodvibes Sound craft groovy psych-pop tunes with a disco twist. A simple yet powerful way to place your subconscious mind in direct contact with the ‘universal vibe-o-sphere’, if you like. The duo are really interested in mindfulness and presence, and how to live in the moment, given all the distractions of modernity around us. Their music is set in the world of the Goodvibes Institute, a mythical research body exploring methods to develop consciousness throughout the world. Goodvibes Sound is the audio division of the organisation. Their album “The Institute” follows the story of two characters who escape from their busy city lives to discover the Goodvibes Institute. Remixer Matt Hughes is a UK producer, who has worked closely with TSTD for a long time now. This dry, deep, minimal funk remix reminds us of Prince and is an absolute highlight in the TSTD unive

BowAsWell (Beijing) 
BowAsWell is the recording project of producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Yichi Zhang. Born and raised in Mainz, Germany, Yichi grew up listening to R&B and hiphop from his sister’s iPod, and started playing guitar and writing songs in his bedroom after returning to China. He studied experimental art at Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, but soon discovered that his true passion lay in music. Under the influence of musicians like Mac Demarco, Bibio and Tame Impala, he fell in love with this DIY aesthetic, bought some analogue synths and outboard gear, built his own home studio, and started making music under the name BowAsWell in 2018. He releases through the prolific French “Delicieuse Musique” label. His inspirations are brilliantly varied, from 70s library music all the way to disco and synthpop. The track was one of our musical highlights of 2024, so we had to include it here. ‘Over when the night is gone’ proves our enduring belief: that being a white soul boy is simply a state of mind!

Seamlessly weaving lyrics of stunning sensuality, wit, reflection and literary eloquence over music that tastefully utilizes top shelf shadings of jazz, soul, pop, chamber and music from around the globe. His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . His music lives on and is loved by so many modern Balearic/Soft Disco musicians/producers from today.

JACK TENNIS: 
Berlin producer Jack Tennis is the mastermind behind a lot of projects. He releases his own music under the name Hotlane (signed to Gomma Records) and spreads his Disco-Edits for UK’s influential Disco Label Midnight Riot (run by Yam Who!), Spa In Disco and Too SLow To Disco. He has an edit on every TSTD YACHT DISCO EDITS compiatlion so far, he was already part of TSTD EDITS 2 – Brasil with an edit, and last year he remixed SATIN JACKETS for TSTD NEO’s “The Sunset Manifesto” - compilation. Also check out his 10" EP TSTDEDITS09 he did for us some time ago.
