Really just wanted to post something new, so I scrapped this together yesterday, even though it's not finished, and decidedly messy. This is the first draft. Planning for this to be the opener for my fourth full length, which is sort of intended to be a return to form in terms of folk structure, and I have two albums in the wings to complete before that one... so, ya know, time changes all things, even if only in perspective.

Lyrics (first draft):

Ralway Bell Release and Launch WAM Song of the Year (Country) winning song, “Caught In The Crossfire”, the First Single from Forthcoming Album, “Dear Friends”. 
 
WA Alt-Country rockers, Ralway Bell, will grace the stage at Rodney’s Bait and Tackle on Saturday 29 July to officially launch their first single, “Caught in the Crossfire”, from from their forthcoming debut album “Dear Friends”. Dear Friends is set for release in October 2017. 
 
“Caught in the Crossfire” was the winning entry in the Country category of the 2017 WAM Song of the Year competition. 
 
To promote the release, the band shot an accompanying film clip, which was directed by James Bogle (Whiteley) with Michael McDermott (Hounds of Love) as cinematographer. 
 
Ralway Bell have earned a solid reputation in the Wild West as a favourite of the genre, with both city and country music folks. 
 
On top of their Song of the Year win, the band also took out 2016 Country Group of the Year (WA Country Music Awards), along with nominations for Best Country Group in 2015 & 2016 in the WA Music Awards (WAMis). 
 
This Alt Country outfit channel Indi and Blues Rock influences through their whisky soaked tales of love and despair. Rich guitar tones and sweet pedal steel licks colour their sturdy denim rhythms - which have graced the stages of bars and festivals in rural and metro WA. The band have acquired a few great festival appearances too, including Nannup Music Festival, Boyup Brook Country Music Festival, RTR FM’s Winter Music Festival and played support for Kasey Chambers at WA's famed Quindanning Inne.

A being awakes. She is confused but serene. She has no memory of how she arrived in this place or what happened before. She finds herself surrounded by complicated kaleidoscopic menagerie of space aged technology that she doesn't understand. What she does understand however, is that she must move. Forward. She emerges from what appears to be a craft of some sort. A highly advanced space ship that seems to be marooned on this surreal planet. She leaves the ship and walks forward into the unknown.
