Nothing Against You

Lipphead is a production duo consisting of veteran producers Blockhead (Ninjatune, Future Archive Recordings) and Eliot Lipp (Alpha Pup) creating playful instrumental hip hop creations that traverse wide musical territories.

Lipphead’s sound is an infectious blend of atmospheric downtempo and driving electro funk.

Releasing via Michigan label Young Heavy Souls, the duo has crafted a truly individual sonic aesthetic that benefits from the significant wealth of musical talent and experience they both bring to the project.

Illustrated by artist Maddison Chaffer, the titular Lipphead character serves as the group’s mascot and as a tongue-in-cheek personification of the duo’s fused styles.

On the production of the album Blockhead explained “I would say, with this album in general, it was both of us taking things we were working on that we liked but couldn’t find a home for. For us this was a very “there are no rules” type venture. We allowed ourselves to be silly and unconventional with all these songs.”

Eliot Lipp went on to say “My favorite thing about the record is the audio cocktail that comes together when our two styles are blended. It’s refreshing to make music with such a loose process. We found ourselves focusing on our strengths, and trusting that our individual styles would complement each other.”

On their debut LP, Lipphead dances effortlessly between Blockhead’s journeying hip-hop beats, and Eliot Lipp’s synth-laden electronic swing. "In The Nude" is available digitally, as well as on vinyl, CD, and cassette.

Well the time has finally come! The preview of Beat Fatigue's debut album 'Malfunktionality is up on soundcloud!
'I had so much fun working on this, that I literally had no idea that it would turn out so great! This is the sound that I've been looking for for a long time now. An album was the only option I had, so many ideas were flowing through my mind that I had to put into one album!' 
The album is divided in two parts, the first part contains twelve bluesy jazzy dance floor funkers. The second part of the album is containing all the collaborations with amazing artists that will be released later this year.

This is a triumphant, tongue-in-cheek eulogy to the endless parade of fake music agents and scammers that flood platforms like SoundCloud.  

Think Floor Jansen (Nightwish) meets Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), soaring, emotional, gritty female lead.

Sung by a powerhouse female vocalist with stunning range and control, the song is both a roast and a requiem—a final sendoff to the deceitful bots, fake profiles, and shady village-based “managers” promising stardom from their mother's hut.

Though it's a funeral for the scammers, the mood is victorious, as if the community of real musicians has finally risen above the noise. The lyrics are packed with sharp wit, mock sincerity, and a celebratory defiance.

Lupe Fiasco, Jill Scott vs. the Wallace Collection - Daydreaming (Ben Chemikal Remix)

Ben Chemikal (Ben Hodding) is a DJ and Dance Music producer from Duncan BC, known for various genres, but mainly focusing on House and Garage throughout the years. Past remixes and releases have seen ventures through glitch hop, dubstep, DnB, and trap. More recent edits and remixes are leaning towards the faster side of things, in no small part to starting a hard dance project under the production name Liftr around 2018.

Around 2022 there was collaboration between Ben Chemikal and The Wiseguy which culminated in the track Burnout.. in the proceeding months this sound evolved into what's known today as the Rabbit Hole Records Crew, featuring The Wiseguy, Aambrosiaa, Xavier Francis, alongside myself on production detail as well as a solid crew of team members and supporters forming a collective that's guaranteed to move dancefloors and make waves. 

New in the circuit is independent vocalist Lux who has joined with Ben on his latest original tunes in a new yet unnamed group capacity, with a style and sound set to hit like no other.
