Demi-Monde started off in 2016 as a party series… from cross-périphérique basements to *Ambient Sessions* in abandoned rehearsal spaces, and massive club nights at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, La Rotonde Stalingrad and Concrete (Paris).

"Aurèle & Friends Vol. 1" is a tribute to the friendships I have built over the years within the electronic music scene. The result is a polychromatic bouquet of club tracks, oscillating between electro, breaks, rave and trance.

All tracks produced between Paris, Copenhague, Berlin & Montreal. Curated through friendship.

Italian dj based in Paris, Benedetta (@benedettadj) spent her last 10 years djing, party curating, organizing, label managing, and lately, live performing. For the live act, she sings her own lyrics and poems with her drum machine and bass synthesizer. She spends all of her time digging vinyl and for her vinyl-only sets she always brings her fav records : dark electro, deep techno, hard groove and acid.Lately she performed in Berlin, Tbilisi, Paris, Lyon, Fusion festival, several gigs in Italy, organized party with her side project Glittoris (a girl duo) at the iconic Rex Club or in more underground squats. Lately she did an instore session for the legendary Yoyaku.

Benedetta is a passionate vinyl-only selector, live performer, Rinse FM resident, and a tireless digger of rare records. She’s also known for curating immersive party experiences across Europe.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Benedetta to one of our showcases at Café-Gallery in Tbilisi, where she brought her unique blend of groove, character, and deep dancefloor knowledge. Now, she returns to our universe with a special set crafted exclusively for the Booking Waves podcast series.

"Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

Art piece: Awakening

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

Passionnée de musique électronique depuis maintenant 15 ans, c’est l’ennui du confinement qui l’a poussée à passer de l’autre côté de la scène. 
En un an, elle s’est tentée à la prod de divers genres de la musique électronique mais c’est dans la techno qu’elle a finalement jeté l’ancre. 
En septembre, elle a délaissé ses CDJ pour apprendre à mixer sur le pad ableton push 2, lui permettant d’expérimenter les effets audios d’une nouvelle façon. Elle vous baladera entre douces mélodie et kicks sombres et brutaux.
