Having been exposed to such a large vast knowledge of music through his father, the legendary Balearic don DJ Alfredo, Jaime from a young age was born to follow in his footsteps. His style of DJing which currently touches off  leftfield house & techno, disco, African rhythms and seductive balearic have seen him touchdown at hot spots all over Ibiza, South America and Berlin's Panorama Bar.

Ever since Covid ended I started the tradition of welcoming the new year by a fresh DJ set called “Live From The Utopian Void” - two hours of electrifying tunes that showcase the club sounds that excite me right now. It’s meant to spread uplifting vibes in times that feel quite dark - metaphorically and literally. It’s about the uplifting enthusiasm of a good rave, the joint togetherness of the dance and the positive energy it can create. Number 4 is now on and it takes you on a fun adventure, starting in the 80s and then taking a housy path into faster floorfiller territory. From less obvious club material by Kontravoid, Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge and a sombre New Hook rework of Kate Stein to proper contemporary bangers from Anna Lunoe, Barbara Boeing, Octo Octa, Folamour, Mall Grab and Kasper Bjørke plus the inevitable cameo of Bernard Sumner - expect a wild and joyful ride.

Here's a special 1 4 y'all!

2 provide a bit of background:
For 5 years now I've been travelling to what has become the >same old place< in the region of Maramureș in Romania, where - on a hilltop near the remote village of Durușa - a lovely festival, in fact my favourite one, is being held in late August.

This mix is comprised of tracks that I played at this year's festival, with some extra spice from yesteryear added for good measure, so it is neither a recording of a live-perfomance, nor in any strict sense a retake of my set. Nevertheless, I do hope that I succeeded in capturing [at least] some moments of magic, because the atmosphere, the vibe, of the place & the people is nothing but!

As you may know - after a proper trip - there is no satisfactory way of putting a sublime experience into words (but perhaps into music?!), which is why I'll end here with a final note of gratitude >>>
