Meta[noia], an experimental electronic music duo based in Colombia, debuts with their first EP entitled "Hélix". This release is a profound exploration of the transformation of perception and mind, a sonic journey that challenges the listener's expectations and evokes a wide range of emotions.

Each track on "Hélix" is a self-contained narrative that transports the listener through dense and enveloping soundscapes. Meta[noia] fuses abstract rhythms with indigenous and modern elements, creating a unique atmosphere that invites introspection and discovery. The music is not only heard, but felt, resonating deeply in the body and mind of those who experience it.

Meta[noia]'s philosophy centers on exploration and experimentation, with a focus on the transmutation of reality and perception. This EP is a journey through the mind, from the vast complexity of the soundscapes to the intimate emotional connection created in each track.

Taila is the starting point of the journey, where the mind begins to transform perception. The track starts with abstract rhythms and unexpected progressions that evolve into a complex soundscape. Polimnia takes the listener to an unexpected place, a destination where the three divisions of the world meet. The music here is a fusion of modern and traditional sounds, creating a space where one can look in each direction and be caught up in each universe. Calliope, represents the culmination of the journey, where the listener is consecrated by the muses. Thalia, Polyhymnia and Calliope inspire this piece with their theatrical and bodily gifts. The track is characterized by a mix of abstract rhythms and complex soundscapes that create an atmosphere of inspiration and deep understanding.

We're thrilled to have CF682 for our first podcast of 2025!

CF682 is a Danish DJ based in Copenhagen and co-founder of the collective and label Syntharax. They are known for blending hypnotic beats with futuristic progressive trance, creating a powerful, pulsating experience.

Since 2023, they’ve released several mixes, performed at renowned Copenhagen clubs such as Den Anden Side, Module, and Baggen, and established themself as a passionate figure in the electronic music scene.

For this mix, CF682 explores progression across electronic subgenres, starting at 132 BPM and steadily increasing. As the percussion intensifies and the pace quickens, the mix builds into an ever-evolving sensory journey.

First issued in 1998 on Superstition Records, Oliver Lieb’s L.S.G. project distilled late-’90s Frankfurt techno/trance into sleek, tightly engineered club tools with arc and atmosphere. The Black Album: The Vinyl Mixes (Remastered) presents the unmixed, original vinyl versions—newly remastered by Lieb—to foreground the detail in his drum programming, weight in the low end and the aerodynamic synth work that made these tracks DJ staples. Across nine pieces you move from the brooding momentum of “The Train Of Thought 1.1” and the nimble pulse of “Go Fishing” to the sinewy churn of “Cellular,” the pressure-valve release of “The Blaxone” and “Rotation,” the taut tension of “88” and “Freakz,” and the endorphin lift of “Hellfire” and “Deep Blue.” L.S.G.’s reputation for trance without cliché has been noted for decades. Lieb’s own note on the remastering underlines the intent: fed “through the finest analogue gear… tweaked to make it sound up to date while the music still is timeless.”
