Jamie Jones recruits Max Dean for ‘Start Screamin’ on Hottrax this July. 

Previously appearing on Resonance, Deeperfect, South Records, and more, Max Dean’s productions receive vast amounts of support from the likes of Michael Bibi and Jamie Jones. Now readying his first release for Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the UK-based DJ/producer drops two groove-laden tracks, marking some of his strongest productions to date. 

Leading the release, the title track ‘Start Scream’ brings swung drums, bouncy basslines, and memorable vocal licks together for an undeniable groover. ‘Yes Baby’ follows suit, bringing another welcome house cut, peppered with spoken word and eerie synth hits over funky low end and skippy percussion. 

Max Dean ‘Start Screamin’ drops on 22nd July 2022 on Hottrax.

After amassing over half a million listens on his first SoundCloud track: ‘Once In A Lifetime Groove’ released in April of 2023, Liverpool-based Ben Griff has since had releases on various labels such as ‘Zealous Records’, ‘Dionysus Records’, 'INLV' and a few more TBA. 

The 22 year old has had his synth orientated minimal tech house productions played across the globe in prestigious venues like Hï Ibiza and Abode Malta played out by the likes of Alisha, Julian Fijma, Louden and Stef Davidse.

His debut label release ‘Diva EP’ with Fabio Santos went on to reach number 5 in the Beatport Minimal/Deep Tech charts with many others placing across the top 100.

Ben first gained an audience through edits of tracks from popular artists such as Michael Jackson and Beyonce, but is now focusing on developing his own unique, recognisable underground sound through his own original rhythms. 

Ben’s underground style is heavily inspired by pioneers such as east end dubs, with inspiration also coming from exciting newcomers such as Julian Fijma and Louden.

After only beginning to DJ midway into 2023, Ben has since went on to perform in some of Liverpool’s most infamous venues: Invisible Wind Factory, Mansion and The Arts Club to name a few, including others outside of the city such as Stage and Radio Manchester and Distrikt Leeds.
