Sons of Shiva, is a Twin City based Kirtan group conceived by Perry Ehrmann. He is a veteran of the Minneapolis Kirtan community and has been playing local music for over 35 years. Sons of Shiva uses elements of Kirtan, World beat, Electronic and Ambient to create music for chanting, meditation and movement. Perry started doing live Kirtan in 2010 with the "Kirtan Collective" which went on to get positive local interest. They were showcased in the Star Tribune paper along with entire Kirtan community. The next group was Mahajapa which played at the local Kirtan fest in Minneapolis. Perry plays the guitar, bass, drums, harmonium, hand pan and sings lead vocals. I plan on working with musicians in the Twin City community for recording and live performances.
