The Monster Of Cerulean Cave (Suspense, Horror)

This is an orchestral/electronic remix of two songs from the Metroid series:  The Kraid's Lair theme from the original game, and Red Soil theme from Super Metroid.  It's kind of a cinematic styled piece, with strings, brass, and choir.  I hope you like it :)

An orchestration of the Metroid music Kraid's Lair. This one really stood out to me as an awesome track for the middle part. As with my last Metroid piece, there's also little synthy bits to it to give it a retro touch.

The Man With the Machine Gun, the secondary battle theme from Final Fantasy Eight, re-arranged to sound like a piece of music from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Not 100% authentic, but the Mega Drive's limitations were obeyed as much as feasibly possible. That is, five FM synth channels, one DAC channel, three PSG channels, and one noise channel, among other limitations.

For this track, I obtained the percussion samples used in the original track, and converted them to Mega Drive format, so it sounds more authentic than my previous works. I also did some tricky stuff with layering of multiple samples, to create the illusion of there being more drums playing at once than there actually are.

Fenris Theme

My friend and fellow producer PrototypeRaptor called this "cinematic dubstep" when he first heard it. I agree with that genre! I wanted to combine really dark and atmospheric elements reminiscent of monster-infested lava caves on an alien world with heavy dubstep rhythms, beats, wobbles and my own personal flavor. Hope you enjoy the result.
