This week's piece is so very special to me. JRPGs were my gateway into gaming and really set my expectation of what video game music should sound like: simple yet beautiful melodies intricately layered with multiple other moving lines--the hallmark sound of Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy). This piece is my attempt to "carry the torch" of that sound forward into today. There are elements of Uematsu, Soken, Masuda, and countless other giants who paved the way for the genre. To say that I'm thrilled with how it turned out would be a massive understatement. 

Everything was built from the ground up by me in Ableton Live Standard using my Novation Launchkey Mini and sound packs by Abletunes and Eastwest.
