Established last year as a series to showcase up-and-coming talent, this album features a handpicked selection of artists who have graduated from the Toolroom Academy. The Academy is the label’s renowned educational arm, which over the past 5 years has been innovating electronic music education by breaking down the barriers between new artists and the music industry. 

As a driving force in Electronic Music education, we are proud to state that our ‘Leaders Of The New School’ album series is one of the hottest platforms to showcase some of the incredible talents rising through the Academy. Boasting a wide variety of artists from #ToolroomFamily favourites Husko, Tone Troy, Lewis John and ACAY, to debuts from Camille Doe, Fletcher Kerr, Neviks, Remi Blaze, Liam Cox and JUNË8.

After ending 2021 on a high, Toolroom kick off the new year with a record that’s guaranteed to ignite clubs and dance floors the world over. Sparking the fuse is none other than Martin Ikin who hits the ground running, kicking off 2022 with a fistful of unmatched energy with his brand-new update of the classic Astrotrax record ‘The Energy (Feel The Vibe)’. A huge club hit back in the 90’s, Astrotrax – ‘The Energy (Feel The Vibe)’ has since become a classic record from the most prominent eras for House and Electronic Music. 
 
A pure cut of 90’s nostalgia wrapped up and brought back to life in a refreshing new way, Martin injects an adrenaline pump straight into the original record, bringing it bang up to date. As a talented producer in his own right, Martin’s production skills can be heard from the moment you press play, doing the original justice with his club ready take that he knows will pop off in any club environment. Martin has been dominating the US Scene throughout 2021 and that looks set to continue throughout 2022. This has been one of the biggest records in his sets and Toolroom are super proud to be releasing this to the masses – Feel the viiiibe!

Toolroom are hitting the ground hard already in 2022, running with a club focused energy that sets the tone for the year. Gracing the musical pages of Toolroom once again is studio wizard James Hurr, Per QX & Elias Bravo with ‘Get Up’. Signing off 2021 by collaborating with Toolroom’s head honcho Mark Knight on his Bullets EP series with ‘Movin’, James Hurr ups the ante and takes on Per QX and Elias Bravo with a huge collab destined to get clubs shufflin’ and crowds moving until the early hours. James Hurr himself has had a rock solid 2021, with stand out releases on Toolroom, Toolroom Trax and Love & Other, James is keeping up the same energy he’s be pushing out for the past year.

On the collab this time is Per QX & Elias Bravo, Swedish natives who have an apt taste for what makes a banging House record. A pair of studio maestros who have appeared on Size Records and Simma Black with their slick and seductive house sounds.

Landing hot on Toolroom is ‘Get Up’, a Piano House weapon loaded with enough heat to light up dance floors around the world! Featuring Funk inspired vocal samples throughout with a chunky bass line keeping up the energy, ‘Get Up’ is a record tjhat just oozes class and the results as you’d imagine, are dynamite. Expect to hear this one on repeat this year period – Essential stuff!

Next up on Toolroom Trax, it's a double-barrelled label debut from Kittball co-owner Juliet Sikora & Elrow resident Tini Gessler who team up on their Trax debut with 'Tidy Up'! Set to clean up the dance floor, Juliet & Tini go hard with their club ready cut of Minimal Tech House.

Both label boss of Kittball with Tube & Berger and a solid DJ herself, Juliet has made waves in scene with a string of killer releases and successes with her label. As one of the top 15 selling Deep House labels of all time on Beatport, her influence on 'Tidy Up' can be heard from the get-go. Along with releases on Pete Tong's FFRR, Flashmob Records & of course Kittball, Juliet Sikora's production style and work ethic are second to none. 

Tini Gessler on the other hand, is a fast-rising name in the Deep & Tech House world, having cemented herself as a resident DJ for Elrow and known for throwing huge parties, together the pair bring a deeper, more minimal edge to the record. 

There's no doubt that 'Tidy Up is a groove focused, Tech House track that is meant to be hammered through club sound systems hard and with their feet firmly planted in the world of Tech House, it's clear that Juliet Sikora & Tini Gesseler are onto something huge on this one!

Back on Toolroom Trax with enough heat to set fire to the dance floor is Academy graduate and Toolroom alumni Scott Costello who releases ‘Don’t Trust Me’. Hailing all the way from Northern Ireland, Scott has established himself as an exciting new producer in the scene, dropping a solid selection of releases on Toolroom’s popular club label.

Having studied the Toolroom Academy’s Creativity Unlocked course and signing his Trax debut ‘Get Down’ to the imprint in 2020; off the back of A&R from the Toolroom’s own Matt Smallwood, Scott Costello has become a firm addition to the #ToolroomFamily. Followed up by his Deep club weapon ‘All To You’, Scott is back and ready to tear up the club!

His latest record ‘Don’t Trust Me’ is a huge Tech House outing deigned for big rooms, with a deep rumbling bass line and a perfect vocal sample which sees the rising producer evolving his production skills along with his sound. If you’re a fan of infectious hooks and high-octane energy, then this is certainly for you.
