"Engine is a Space Western Caddo-American Folk Rock band from the old pines of deep northwestern Louisiana. Their sound originated from a gospel upbringing where pump organs and tambourines littered sideshow stages. Young, fierce, and full of contempt for all that their hometown of Shreveport attempts to polish, Engine are the kind of music savants who'll crash your basement first, tune their instruments later, and still be plucking away unplugged on your back porch long past sun-up. Frontman Landon Miller stutters, stalls, slurs, stops, starts, and wails his words, coloring the songs far outside the shaky melody lines, while the rest of the troupe revels in mastering stoned glam garage blues and flourishes of freeform experimentation. Their debut record,“The Factory Fire” sprung from a fuzzy cave into existence during the winter of twenty-ten. It sounds like a broken carousel in your grandmother’s attic. Their latest record, Caverns of Sonora, is a spare, dusty collection that has established the southern-natives as also innovate and tasteful. There's resignation and frailty in Miller's songs, but also an untarnished optimism that gives them a woozy romanticism."

Lolipop Records is an independent record label based in Los Angeles, California, known for its vibrant roster of garage rock, lo-fi pop, psychedelic, electronic and DIY punk artists. Since its founding in 2013 by musician and producer Wyatt Blair, Lolipop has cultivated a unique analog aesthetic and grassroots ethos, helping launch the careers of underground favorites like The Buttertones, Drab Majesty, Part Time, Beach Bums, Tele Novella, Mystic Braves, Corners, Froth, Winter & more.

With its roots starting in an iconic Echo Park storefront studio and tape duplication hub, Lolipop became a creative nucleus for the West Coasts emerging indie scene, pressing cassette tapes and vinyl for a new generation of analog-obsessed listeners. The label is celebrated not just for its prolific output, but for fostering a close-knit community of artists who share a passion for raw sound, vivid visuals, and DIY spirit.

From local shows to a global cult following, Lolipop Records remains a beacon of underground culture.

Details:
The upcoming album will consist of 10 sizable tracks, over an hour of original music. We recorded live versions of the first 9 over a year ago, and, being rather pleased with the result, have been selling these demos across the country since. We started working very soon after on the "real deal" album. Between crazy busyness, and a high level of perfectionism, we still have a bit to do, but the finish line is now truly within sight, and we could not be more excited about the nearly-final result. Huge props to our keyboardist, Blake Lefler, for handling all the mixing and mastering of this early release.
