First Love

Hi, I'm Benjamin and I make music that tells stories.

My musical journey began at the age of 7 with my first piano lesson. This journey came to an abrupt end after just two months, when I was regularly untraceable when it came to piano practice.

It wasn't until I was 15 that I dared to get back into sound and audio: initially more on the production side, collecting sounds and building up a sound library. I also began to record instruments with my modest equipment. The only drawback was that I couldn't play one myself. Without further ado I bought a keyboard and started piano lessons again – from then on I couldn't let go of music.

Although I was now spending a lot of time at the piano, I was also excited about the possibilities of producing fat bass simply with a computer. So my music was more electronic and EDM-like in the beginning. I also felt that anything that banged was somehow better received than my “boring“ classical piano practice pieces. 
But even during this period, there was one type of music that I consumed constantly: film music. Fascinated by the variety of emotions this music could convey and how it made powerful images even more powerful, I began to emulate it. 

What you hear of my music today is characterised by all the elements of my journey: A mixture of recordings from my early sound library, electronic music and orchestral film music. In each of my pieces I try to tell a story: Sometimes exciting, sometimes relaxing, sometimes uplifting. Or sometimes all in one piece. Just like stories tend to be. I wish you a lot of fun listening!
