Ah si si si ! est une association loi 1901 réunissant six musiciens sportifs qui partagent une envie de voyage en vélo, et une attirance vers la culture et les paysages sud-américains. Ce périple commencera en décembre 2014 à Santiago du Chili et se terminera fin juin 2015 en Equateur. Il sera rythmé par des objectifs géographiques et temporels, tout en laissant la place à des opportunités musicales. Nous traverserons d’ouest en est l’Amérique du Sud de Santiago à Buenos Aires, avant de rejoindre la côte sud-est du Brésil pendant le carnaval. De nouveau dans les terres, nous accéderons au Nord de l’Argentine par le Paraguay, pour atteindre la Bolivie à la mi-avril. Pendant la traversée des Andes boliviennes et péruviennes, l’enjeu sportif prendra tout son sens : pendant 2 mois la fanfare cheminera à plus de 4000 mètres d’altitude. Nous achèverons notre voyage à Santiago à la fin du mois de juin. 

Vincent Roussel is performer and drummer living in Marseille France. He study in fine arts school of Rennes and he plays percussions since 2000 mostly autodidactic. Performed in various type of group, especially improvised, experimental and occitan music and performance.

While this program ended in July 2021 after 15 years, I very much enjoyed hosting/producing 'Acoustic Frontiers' a 90 minute program airing electroacoustic and computer processed music by composers from around the world on CKCU fm - ckcufm.com - in Ottawa Ontario Canada.  

Additionally, as you will hear from the tunes that I have posted here, I play sax, mostly jazz, and have done some recordings of original tunes.  The most recent posts are from my current project, 45north band, a 5 piece band playing a Canadian jazz repertoire.  

Mostly these recordings are basement projects.

I also have been on bari sax in a nonet, Alternate Takes.  We recorded our 2nd CD 'Urban Flower' a while back that was released in 2018 with our concert at Merrickville's Jazz Fest.  I've posted a short clip of the first tune from that CD, 'Little Sunflower'

Ohmodron is the unwanted child, given birth in pain, from what music has always tried to hide under a pile of junk, judging it too mongrel to legitimate it. The project made as a duo described itself as an improvised approach of sound, assuming high volume and exaggerated violence. Picking their influences between radical composers from early 20th Century, rythmless music and other protesting activisms, the project could be summed up into terms of opposition: No guitar, no laptop, no melodic subtlety, and no consensus. Their musical pieces are more similar with rough plastic clumps, tar smell, improvisations working by themselves once delivered to the audience. 
PL: Argentinean songwriter and composer, Pedro Lopez aka Peter Alfred is known for being the singer of the rock band Los Alamos who he performed with around the world. He has now a drone-folk solo project called Moondawn in which he explores several musical aspects, with or without a guitar. In addition to Moondawn, he sings and plays the guitar in the band Eastern Committee. Through all these projects, he is willing to create a sincere and straightforward music deprived of sham. 
ND: After studying sound work until his back hurt while having a SM relationship with his piano for many years at Marseille Conservatory, ND is now willing to think about the true meaning of this din and row noises while promoting them, and still loves to torture his instruments. He also plays keys and guitar with the Psyche Folk band Eastern Committee, and works on several other musical projects.
