They sat together on the floor in front of the Tube, with a chair-high bag of Chee-tos and a sixpack of grapefruit soda from the health-food store, watching baseball highlights, commercials, and weather — no rain again — till it was time for the kissoff story. "Well," chuckled news anchor Skip Tromblay, "an annual Vine-land event was repeated today, as local laughing-academy outpatient Zoyd Wheeler performed his now familiar yearly leap through another area plate-glass window. This time the lucky establishment was the infamous Cucumber Lounge, seen here in its usual location, just off Highway 101. Alerted by a mystery caller, TV 86 Hot Shot News crews were there to record Wheeler's deed, which last year was almost featured on 'Good Morning America.' " (Thomas Pynchon)

Since the release of their first album ‘Trick Of The Night’ at the end of 2008, London sextet SixToes have received a steady stream of evocative and insightful acclaim- reviews that capture the grainy, bittersweet nature of the band’s music, and hold it in high regard.

After taking to the backwaters of Ely, Cambridgeshire for their asylum-tinged first album, the band spent time producing music for various short films and entered into the foray of remixing for other artists. On the strength of a remix of Maps ‘Elouise’ the band were commissioned to work on Depeche Mode’s ‘Jezebel’, which grew to a further three tracks from their 2009 album ‘Sounds Of The Universe’.
More recently, to their delight, SixToes were asked to put their spin on a track for Nick Cave’s Grinderman 2 album- reinterpreting ‘When My Baby Comes’ in their newly unique style.
An appearance from the Toes’ string players on the critically acclaimed Josh T. Pearson album ‘Last Of The Country Gentlemen’ sweetened a busy 2010 for the band.
Along side these antics, SixToes have been working hard on producing their second album- getting out of the city and taking to a cottage in the windy shadows of the New Forest, Hampshire where they set up studio to write and record. Using the bands technical experience, they have again been Recording, Producing and Mixing the material themselves and hope to tie it up for release next year.



DaveBeMac is a multi instrumentalist solo musician based in Edinburgh. David's main drive is towards Finger style acoustic guitar but also plays a number of different instruments in a range of different styles.
