Ben Mountney is musician and composer from Dorset, England. Classically trained but with love for great range of genres, finding a true love in synthesised electronic music. Composing since the age of 12, Ben has sculpted a unique sound and has crafted a superb range of styles from soundscapes to hard dance.

Remus were originally formed in 1997 as ‘Noose’ and it wasn’t until their 2003 EP ‘Signs’ where they officially changed their name to Remus. The following two albums; 2005’s ‘Fighting Against The Tide’ and 2008’s ‘The Complete Piece Missing’ were huge hits at the time and included the standout singles ‘Broken’ and ‘The Perfect Circle’. 

In total, Remus have released eight studio albums, their most recent - ‘Not Taking Sides’ - was released in April 2024. They have over 1.2M streams on Spotify with their very unique alternative rock sound.

For the remainder of 2024, Remus released a new song every month starting with the epic ‘Only For You’ in June and culminating in the release of a brand new Christmas song ‘Come Sing The Glory!’ in November. All of these new tunes were neatly wrapped up in their 9th studio album ‘Too Close To Call’ released on the 22nd January 2025.
