Nighteyes is the newly launched solo project of New Zealand born, Melbourne based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Rachel Trainor.

Inspired by artists such as Chelsea Wolfe, Darkher, and Fleetwood Mac, Nighteyes blurs genre boundaries, exploring electronic beats along with doom-inspired guitars and dream-like vocals. She finds inspiration in deep emotions, the skies above and her own personal experiences with the world around and within her.

Nighteyes first single ‘Lowlight’ will be released in March 2022 with an album to follow later in the year. ‘Lowlight’ is
currently featured in the contemporary circus show ‘The Defiant’, which Rachel is the key musician for, and will be running at Adelaide Fringe from February to March 2022.
Rachel has been a regular in the Melbourne music scene since 2012 with her other original project, psych-garage band Honeybone, as well as various other acts, along with touring professionally with circus and cabaret shows.
