INKAA fell in Love with electronic music back in the good old Bar 25. She started Djing back in 2015 and found her family with the legendary Techno Türken crew. We heard her Garbisz set first year and invited her to play at Beate Uwe in Mai. One thing let to another and now we are honoured to release her first EP, together with this beautiful Remix by @lee-jokes & @Aquarius-heaven. We will celebrate at Crack Bellmer, tonight on the 14th of August 2019, so if you are in Berlin, come and join us ;)

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wie kamst du zum auflegen?
Vor ca. 8 Jahren fragte mich ein befreundeter Barkeeper aus herrschenden DJ Mangel heraus, ob ich nicht mal bei ihm im Club spielen könnte. Die Musikrichtung war relativ frei wählbar (open format). Zu dieser Zeit dachte ich noch nicht aktiv ans auflegen, sondern bastelte zu Hause an Playlisten und Sets herum. So wurde ich dann ins kalte Wasser geworfen und fand immer mehr gefallen daran. Meine eigentliche Liebe (die elektronische Musik) konnte ich dort erst gegen Ende der Nacht ausleben, was sich auf meinen späteren Stationen dann zum Glück gebessert hat. ;)

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Mit Downtempo in Kontakt kam ich vor einigen Jahren zum ersten Mal auf kleineren Festivals und in Stuttgart durch Partys von Aromat und Jangala. Damals war mir das Genre noch nicht so bewusst, dennoch zogen mich diese Stages bzw. Partys immer mehr in den Bann. Irgendwann kam ich dann mal selbst auf die Idee Lieder zu pitchen und verliebte mich sehr schnell darin. Mir gefällt daran, dass man aus einem schnelleren Track etwas neues, einzigartiges schaffen kann und besonders, wenn man diese mit originalen Tracks des Genres vermischt. Letztlich finde ich, dass man einfach mehr von den Melodien und Bässen hört und es mehr Platz für Spielereien bietet.

From hip-hop beats to intergalactic grooves. Benno Wohl’s sound is a fusion of house, techhouse, minimal, microhouse, disco, funk & hip-hop. Born by Lake Constance and fascinated by sound from an early age, he moved to Berlin in 2010 to immerse himself in production and DJing.
