I have always had a deep passion for music. I grew up in a very musical family where music was the heart and soul of our lives. My father Mr Joel Miguel is a classical pianist who obtained a medal from the Queen for writing the National Anthem for an island called St.Vincent. I was singing since the tender age of three taught by my father who's musical abilities were nothing less than genius!
Ever since a child I was gifted with the natural ability to sing, play the piano, guitar, write and compose a variety of styles of music.

I would forever love classical music for that is the foundation I was given as a child from singing Opera to rehearsing tirelessly 8 hours a day, to playing the piano to the classical pieces such as Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt, Bach etc
As a versatile artist, I felt I needed to find my identity. The music that I write is a variety of styles and techniques. I write classical pieces, Pop,Soft rock, Latin, Power ballads, Reggae, RnB, chill out music, to name a few. Writing is just like breathing to me. I sit at the piano and I write with ease as if in a trance by the Divine!

I would however like to pursue my goal of assisting in my way humanity, where I can write endlessly the music I so want the world to hear, which is the inner depths of my soul.
This is my life long dream. To see music live in the hearts of others and to hear the music and words that I cradled so dear to me become apart of others.

Zoelah Janelle boyde, was born in the caribbean island of Trinidad & Tobago, and raised in The beautiful island of St.Vincent & The Grenadines. She is the only Girl, also the last child, between 3 brothers. She was also raised by a single mother. 
At the tender age of 7, she realized that music and singing was her passion and destiny. Even though she had a rough childhood, music was always her secret place to be herself and feel alive. The only time she would get to sing and explore music, would be at church, and further on at high School in Assembly activities. 
At the Age of 17. Zoelah found herself homeless in St Vincent and took to her secret place for refuge (Music). She then Auditioned to sing with a band, called signal. And was chosen to be a lead singer at 17. it was a dream that came to life.
 “I thought I am on my way, experiencing being in a band and singing for hundreds and sometimes thousands of people was a Flame like no other.”
 Zoelah got the opportunity to tour the United States of America, Canada, Europe and throughout the Caribbean. 

In 2003, she wrote her first song, entitled “in and out”. Then in 2004, she also penned, “Zoom In” followed by, “ kicking dust”.

With such a sultry and captivating voice, The airwaves became her best friend in St Vincent and her fan-base started growing. With such positive feedback, her passion for music, became more intense and she entered competitions, only as an avenue to promote herself. Even though she never won any titles, it never phased her, as she was raised to never be a quitter in life and her passion and connection, with her dream of becoming a star, was all that she really needed. “I can tell anyone, believing and knowing yourself, is sometimes all u need and I was determined to give the world Zoelah in true colour and I did just that.''
 
Fast forwarding to the year 2007, she wrote  “Go Down Low”. She wasn't sure how people would react to it as she knew, she had a different sound. Upon its release, it was an instant hit. Not only in St. Vincent, but this time, in many other caribbean islands. The love for one of my biggest songs yet was well received and appreciated by all soca lovers. With “Go Down Low”, the sultry and exotic double meaning lyrics, It took off and captured many different people from around the world.
 But, she didn't stop there. In 2008, She wrote and recorded, what would be, an all time favorite and a classic song called “Whine Up On Me.” Zoelah recalls “I really brought sexy back. I remember  doing interviews and people would ask me, how did I think of that song? Well, Whine Up On Me, was based on real events that happened to me, and who better to write the song than me. I just wanted the world to know how I felt and I also thought, there are so many people in this world, wanting to say how they feel and what they want, but never can. For me,  I could say what I want and how I feel.” “Whine Up On Me”, was an instant hit all over the world and it was a dream come true. Her hard work and determination was finally paying off. 
In 2010, her third consecutive hit “More Water” was also well received. Her dream is to create a different sound that touches not just hearts and souls of people, but also different cultures around the world. “After all, music brings people together and my motto is: We are all in this together (life).” 
Presently, Zoelah is at a new stage in music, creating the sound that she believed in from day one. Crossing different sounds and exploration of R&B, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and of course, more Soca with flavor, with songs like; Sell Off, Dig Down, Hurt and Twist my love.
