My Musical Journey as an Accordion player:

I was born in 1965 (birthname Benny Madsen) and found my love for the accordion as a young boy in an accordion ensemble in Esbjerg, Denmark. There, I delved into the world of traditional music, enriching my skills with every chord. As life unfolded, my focus shifted to family and building a business, leading me to set aside my accordion.

However, music has a way of staying with you, and after years of work, I chose to retire early. Now, I’m rediscovering my passion for the accordion and embracing the joy it brings into my life.

My musical tastes lean towards traditional styles - French, Irish, Balkan - to name a few, but I always add a twist to keep things modern. All my new recordings are made on my Roland FR-4x digital V-accordion, an instrument that resonates with my creative spirit.

Living in Copenhagen, I play the accordion for fun, sharing melodies in cafes and restaurants. It’s a pleasure to share my music with you, and I hope it brings as much joy to you as it does to me.
