With his unique and eclectic brand of edgy indie-pop Ben Pearson is already making a big impression. Passionate about life, faith and memorable melodies, Ben’s music oozes with creative pop energy. Having recently graduated with a 1st class degree in music composition, at 21 Ben’s patiently crafted sound exhibits a depth and maturity beyond his years. His talents as a multi-instrumentalist come into their own on his self- produced debut album What the Eye Can’t See.  

Ben spent the best part of 2011 writing and recording What the Eye Can’t See in his studio, which was then mixed and mastered by Andy Baker (Philippa Hanna, The Gentlemen) at Resound Media. With influences ranging from Keane to The Polyphonic Spree, Ben’s passion for vibrant and intricate instrumentation really shows on this record. From the driving synth-pop opener “Faith”, through the cinematic soundscape of the title track, concluding with the soul-tinged piano ballad “Don’t Lose Yourself”, Ben’s album offers contemporary pop sensibility fussed with innovative and ingenious arrangements.

With several of his tracks having already received national radio airplay and growing enthusiasm for his live performances Ben is certainly an artist to look out for. Whether against the captivatingly produced backdrop of What the Eye Can’t See, or live in a café with a piano, Ben’s melodies speak for themselves. He has performed to audiences a thousand strong but is equally at home in intimate acoustic settings where he enjoys being able to share the stories behind the songs.
