Berlin native and Inkal founder, Ben Rau delivers two brand new mixes of the Roy Ayers classic 'Holiday'.
Titled after his record label 'Inkal', Ben's first pass of 'Holiday' makes use of the original's distinctive piano motifs over a bouncy and urgent big-room house groove; surely destined to become a summer essential for house DJs all over the globe.
Taking its name from his brand new imprint, the 'Meta' mix goes deeper, with afro-tinged percussion and rolling, techno-inspired drums leading the way toward an original organ solo over warm bass and hypnotic chords.
Recorded in the late 70's, unearthed by BBE and issued on the second volume of unreleased Virgin Ubiquity recordings, 'Holiday' is a languid, sun-drenched jazz- funk classic; vintage Roy Ayers. The track was previously reworked in 2005 by Kenny Dope and DJ Spinna to global acclaim.

Tomas Pablo is a young Chilean DJ, his melodic streak intrigued us a lot, we had the pleasure of entertaining him in one of our podcast colors series. The deep and melodic character of Tomas gave birth to a very progressive session with many techno variables

From an early age he developed a varied musical taste, very attached to melodies and
synthesizers, but it is in 2017 where he knows the underground scene closely, waking up in
He has an enormous interest and curiosity in electronic music.

In 2019, when he joined the new generation of djs in his local scene, he obtained his first
residence at AmandaClub, where she seeks to provide support to other emerging djs by sharing
cabin, generating learning and solidarity spaces.

His beginnings in music revolved around tech house and techno, but over time he developed
a new musical identity, encompassing the nuances of deep house, indie dance / Nu disco and
melodic techno.

His career has been a lot of effort, perseverance and dedication, based on expressing what he
feel when playing. The quality of your tracks is essential when selecting your
tracklist. Although his progressive style has many deep influences, his sets have a sound
physical and enveloping with a dynamic and energetic groove.

Bio:

Dancing all night and experiencing a feeling of community and togetherness is something countless generations can relate to. Ben originally fell in love with house and techno in his late teens losing himself in the music and exploring his deep-seated passion for electronic music through self-expression - namely, raving.

Ben spent many years on dancefloors back home in Germany and in the UK.
As time went on he became more involved behind the scenes, progressing from the dancefloor to the decks and into the studio.
Having a solid grounding in club culture from such a grassroots level means Ben's connection with the dancefloor runs deep, likewise his studio endeavours are aimed squarely at those who dedicate their time to dancing the night away.

A Berliner born and bred, Ben moved to the UK originally to study.
He immersed himself in the highly influential east London party scene, having made the decision to dedicate his life to pursuing a career in music. While Ben was living in the UK, Berlin had become the global epicentre of house and techno and he felt a strong calling to return home. He decided to move back home to build a studio and returned to Berlin with a fresh outlook , a renewed desire to succeed to truly pursue his dreams.

In 2016 Ben took charge of his destiny, setting his focus on his self-release imprint Inkal and sister label Meta.
Both labels continue to grow in stature with every release, topping record shop charts and resulting in multiple represses for each offering.
Ben continues to build his reputation in the studio as a producer to watch out for and as a DJ equally at home in the club and bigger stages.

With such a strong foundation, an unerring passion for his craft,
Ben continues to garner the attention of tastemakers and clubbers alike onto the Global stage.
