Cue Drops: My DJ Story, the radio show where we discover the tracks that frame a DJ's journey, from their earliest inspiration, to their defining moments.

1st half of the show, guided by the same seven questions, each guest shares the tunes and their personal memories behind them, as we learn about the beats, and the moments, that shape a DJ's journey.

2nd half of the show, our guest DJ makes a mix of their life, including those 7 tracks.

Fell in love with dance music tripping the light fantastic at the Embassy Club in the 70s. Collected a vast roomful of dub disco and soul tunes that suddenly came into their own in the mid 80s when the first raves exploded into our consciousness. Luckily managed to score a great party flat in Ifield Rd Chelsea and occasionally had a few mates over for a dance (if you were there you know what I'm talking about). Started hosting GIVE! at The Fortress in Kings Cross and 'Woy-Oy' on the MV Cam Leopard at Chelsea Bridge in the late 80s, started 'Kimberley' in the early 90s and 'House of Honey' in the Naughties.

Played at tons of great places including: HoH - Give!, Woy-Oy, Kimberley, Harvest, Thunderpussy, Desert Heart; Womad, Glastonbury, Bestival, Sunrise, The Whitehouse, Ravenous, Paramount, Koshka, Fly, Aura, Sunset Ashram (Ibiza), Tender, Lotus, Cultural Virus, Megatripolis, Pendragon, Seductive Alchemy, The ICA, Wilderness Festival, Rustlers Valley (South Africa), Save the Rhino (Kenya), The Backyard (Thailand), TIP (Goa), Rift Valley Festival (Kenya) and Wajaya Beach (Sri Lanka) 

Musical heritage spanning the last 37years actively dropping beats for the folk of S/E/N/W London.

The songs that started it all for me personally were tunes like Herbie Hancock's - Rockit, Nitro Deluxe - This Brutal House, Bomb the Bass - Megablast.  Surface - Happy, and  of course  the classic Zapp band - 
Computer Love.



My music ranges from Deep House Tech House Techno Electronic Break beats D&B Progressive Classical Dub and Balearic  you get the picture .... if its a quality bit of music quite frankly who cares, 

As far back as my early teens i can remember listening  to DJ'S s like Steve Walsh on London radio and splice/mix tracks and jingles on my trusty  phillips radio/tape deck. 
mostly soul electro and rare groove tracks back in the day.

Born and raised in an era of Soul, Funk and Disco.....with an edge of 80’s tech....I find my inspiration through dance music which not only wants to make you move and shake, but also just wants to make you chill and smile....
