It was a beautiful Tuesday in Tankwa Town the enrgy was pulsating people where happy. Heres a 2 hour mix of what took place with live bongo and electronic drum machine.

Saturday night was insane the moon was out the stars shining bright and one main burn had ended. I started to play music and there was one person next to the stage but slowly after each track progressed the crowd made its way to the stage from all different angles of the playa. Art vehicles rocked up and provided light and it became an awesome gathering.

Today 27/04/2020 would be the day when all the magic begins. Afrikaburn people have been spending the whole year working on ideas raising funds. Unfortunately like everything else in the world right now it got cancelled due to Covid 19. 

Afrikaburn for now is a beautiful memory and these are the three years of personal videos and pictures I have collected.

I was inspired to make a version of my own of the beautiful piece by Yann Tiersen and thought this would be the perfect setting.

Not one to pigeonhole himself into one style, Ben Tov traverses the BPMs and moods and focuses on telling a story through progression with his melodic sets and productions. Ben Tov can be regularly found locked away in his studio, jamming together ideas and carving out his deep signature analog synth-lines and grooves for his next upcoming release. With a slew of releases already under his belt, and constant releases on labels such as Katz and Kautz Deeplomatic and Harabe. His latest release Nuwe Reen reached number 14 in the Melodic House and Indie Dance Beat Port Charts.

Ben Tov has traveled the world and played in several different countries. His sound is influenced by the various cultures he has met along the way.

In 2021 Ben Tov started to create a series of successful events called Valhalla. These events take place in unique locations around Cape Town and focus on delivering an unforgettable musical journey that focuses on different styles of electronic music blended into one night.
