There's only one obvious thing in the sound of Neelix: Relentless forward boost. Exactly how this boost is generated is not obvious at all – which makes it catchy in the most subliminal way possible. The German artist playfully incorporates elements of Progressive Trance, Progressive House and Electro. However, the actual magic of Neelix happens somewhere inbetween those genres. For 10 years already this unique formula made him a crowd-pleaser at a great variety of dance events on all 5 continents, including monumental festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland or Boom.

It's 2005 when Neelix stirs a revolution. His album 'No Way To Leave' fulfills all the expectations of the dance floor – but it does so in the most unexpected way. Within no time, party goers refer to his highly dynamic hybrid style simply as 'Neelix sound'. It's the beginning of a stellar career that keeps building and building – just like a typical Neelix track itself. During the last decade, the music of Neelix has inspired a whole generation of producers, it can be found in the collections of countless DJ, in film productions, and in the catalogues of prestigious labels like for instance SpinTwist Records or Paul Oakenfold’s legendary Perfecto imprint.

Since bursting onto the ultra-competitive Australian live music scene in 2008, Built On Secrets fast made a name for themselves, with their instantly catchy take on ambient-rock winning over fans in both the band’s hometown of Melbourne, as well as the rest of the country.

Having supported with acts as diverse as All Time Low, Set Your Goals, 3OH!3, The Amity Affliction, Haste The Day and Kris Roe of The Ataris, Built On Secrets went on to play at the 2010 Push Over Festival in Melbourne – alongside Kisschasy, Break Even and 50 Lions.

During that time, the young quintet still found the time to release their stunning debut EP, Reflections. Recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Sydney (House VS Hurricane, Heroes For Hire), the seven-track affair showcased a level of song writing that is rarely seen in acts this young & Australian music bible BLUNT MAGAZINE agreed by awarding the effort a 4 out of 5 stars in their review (as well as coming in at #3 in the year's best EP poll, behind The Devil Wears Prada and Alexisonfire. The band also landed a Japanese release for Reflections through Garimpeiro Records (home to Emarosa, Closure In Moscow).

After having recently supporting Senses Fail, Cute Is What We Aim For, Oh Sleeper and Australian powerhouse The Getaway Plan at their sold-out reunion shows, the band is currently finishing up their debut full-length with acclaimed producers Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Cartel, Mayday Parade, Jimmy Eat World) in Atlanta, Georgia.
