From its early days, Molecular has been synonymous with quality underground techno music. The label has a reputation for releasing material from respected and established artists in the scene, including prominent names such as Claude Young, Jeroen Search, Oliver Ho, Mr G, and Kelly Hand. Molecular has also been instrumental in discovering and promoting new talent, with several emerging artists making their debut on the label. DJ Bone's first-ever release was on Molecular, Similarly, Inigo Kennedy, another talented producer, released his first-ever record on a label on the Molecular label. Molecular was also the first UK label to release the music of Chris Liebing, The label's support for both established and emerging artists has helped establish it as a highly influential and respected record label within the underground techno scene. Today, Molecular continues to promote new talent from the current generation of artists, including Linear System, Mal Hombre, Flaws, and Ma Haiping, among others.
Molecular means cutting-edge techno, evolving with the time, but concentrating on releasing good quality music, proud of being open to new talents and featuring some of the most innovative sounds. The label has since expanded, releasing some excellent debuts and special releases. In addition to its regular releases, the label also re launched a series called "The XX Series," which features no track names and is essentially a deeper branch of Molecular, allowing established techno names to experiment further to the forefront of Techno.

I fell in love with Electro Music(Breakdance cuts)in the early '80s. I grew up listening to WBMX in Chicago and fell in love with the creative mixes they produced by the Dj all stars. One day, I wanted to start cutting, scratching, beat blending on Technics SL1200's like DJ Rectangle, Scratch Pickles, Roc Raida any many others from worlds best from DMC competitions. In the mid 90's I. was mostly a bedroom DJ mixing hip hop, Scratching, some beat juggling, and than I started mixing 90's house.  From there I started going to underground raves until 2000. I was still spinning records and I  was not interested in mixing records anymore bcuz of prices of records, availability, and hauling them around. I decided to just enjoy the scene for a few years. One day a friend asked to play on his S2 controller than the spark came alive again my passion came back. I downloaded some tracks from Justin Martin & these Dirty Bird Players tracks have me wanting to mix all the time. Their music keeps me thriving to put out the most funky, knarly, out of thiz world mixes I can produce.

Microdot is Inspired and driven from his experience with the 90s rave scene, he has infused a movement: “Chicago Techno,” a movement he continues to spread with his performances and production.
Not only is he producing and playing many shows, he’s also behind creating some of the biggest underground parties in the midwest.
Much of Microdot’s production has been heavily influenced by electronic music pioneers and legends such as DJ Hyperactive, Mike Dearborn, Paul Johnson, Green Velvet, and musical composer Anthony Rother.
