An extensive edit of a Kris Needs remix of Bob & Ian's "Purpuss", originally released on Vivatonal in 1993. I cut all of the more rave-oriented elements and kept all the hypnotic, Goa trance-adjacent parts, adding drum and atmosphere fills and re-arranging the breakdown, intro, and outro to make it easier to mix. Kept all those cat yowls and bass-heavy purring though 😻

01 - Hypergenesis - Dematerialization

An extensive rework of Secret Knowledge's "Out of Body" mix of "Body & Soul" by Love and Rockets, originally released in 1994. This version emphasizes the Goa trance vibes while jettisoning the more rave-oriented elements of the source track. An entirely new melodic layer was reconstructed to inject more energy into the song. It's a bit rough around the edges, partly due to the production value of the source material, but it certainly captures something of that frenetic old school spirit!
