When Rythmikan gets behind the decks, she creates a unique style of bouncy, progressive beatz & deep driving techno, that is a journey into sound within her realm. When listening you will find yourself resonating with her intention. She will take you on a journey to go deep into the story of sounds ~ embracing the dance-floor with a contagious warm­‐heartedness.

During her childhood, she attended a Rhythmic dance school where she learned to drum and move to the beat. Over time, she grasped how the rhythm influences us, how music evokes emotions, and how we express ourselves through movement. Even then, she sensed that her path was intertwined with music. In the late '90s, at a small house party, she found herself behind the turntables for the first time, mixing on a pair of belt-driven turntables ~ a moment that marked the beginning of her musical journey, where the winds of inspiration carried her in diverse directions 🪶🤍🪶

A little bit about me:

I have a long held love of philosophy, wisdom and the creative arts. I am a part-time DJ, slightly reluctant business leader (joking I love it really, plus it pays them bills), technology-realist/nerd and vegan/sober wannabe who believes that utopia is possible. And I am on a lifelong path of trying to figure out how to be of service to society. And I believe that love is the answer.

This is my diary entry - my art is my process.
So I'm here alchemising feelings into synaesthetic audio visual experiences.

Ex Astris – sonic journeys through the aether
Lene Vinje is a Norwegian composer and multi-instrumentalist, mastering synthesizer, guitar, bass, tongue drum and vocals. With a background from acclaimed indie bands such as Sofi Lofi and Izakaya Heartbeat.
Her musical path began in early childhood at a music kindergarten, and a teenage fascination with electronic dance music – sparked by her first dance music program at age 14 – laid the foundation for her lifelong exploration of sound and texture.
After years of performing on guitar and bass, Lene met HMB (composer, vocals, djembe and spiritual inspiration). Together they created the art and music project Protostar7, a collaboration born from a shared vision: to remember that we are all part of the greater whole – the aether. As above, so below; as within, so without. Their goal was to echo sounds from the universe of feelings within.
Protostar7 has now evolved into Ex Astris, an electronic and ambient project that explores the cosmic connection between sound, spirit, and the infinite. Their forthcoming ambient album will be released on Distant Gaze Records, offering listeners an ethereal blend of rhythm and resonance.
