A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Lock in below and transport to the incomparable energy of Room 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes, we reckon, there's no place like it.

For our third edition of our podcast series, we are delighted to feature the Hardgroove legend, Goncalo M. This marks his first recorded podcast since 2019, making it a significant honor for us to have him on board. Born in Portugal, he embarked on his DJ career at the tender age of 19. Since then, Goncalo has cultivated an impressive reputation by performing at venues and festivals across Europe, South America, and Asia. In 2004, Goncalo launched his own techno label, "Intuition Recordings Pt," and in 2013, he established a new label called "Global Techno Movement Records." Both of these labels have consistently secured top positions in the techno charts, releasing high-quality techno music.

ERROR:
I've been DJing since 2019, and since the end of 2020, I've been performing under the name ERROR. I would describe my sound as dirty and groovy. In my sets, you can find many Hardgroove, Tribal, and Dub Techno tracks. Additionally, in 2022, I co-founded the collective LYRASIS with friends. We already hosted a party at Waschhaus Potsdam in February 2023. Musically, LYRASIS primarily focuses on Hardgroove and Trance but is also open to other styles. With the collective, we also run a podcast series and plan to organize more events in Berlin starting next year.

Introducing Charlie, an emerging artist born and raised in Beirut, whose musical odyssey commenced a few years ago, inspired by the rhythmic legacy of an older sister already entrenched in the DJ world. A deep dive into the sonic archives of niche underground 90s producers became a defining exploration, shaping Charlie's distinctive musical identity.

Charlie started to musically venture out at the raves in warehouses on the outskirts of Paris before finding her way home to Berlin, specifically drawn by the city's entrancing music world. She took her first steps into the Berlin scene with a debut gig at the renowned Hater Kater party in Kater Blau.

Beyond the primal sound of purist organic techno, Charlie's heart resonates with the diverse beats of Jazz and Classical music. The hypnotic allure of ambient sounds also finds a place in her sonic palette, contributing to a rich and multifaceted musical expression.

With a BPM range oscillating between 138 and 145, Charlie navigates a dynamic musical landscape. The inclusion of the piano’s influence, a companion since her youth, adds a layer of depth to her artistic narrative, a subtle nod to her roots. Each note played echoes the symphony of Charlie's evolution, a harmonious blend of influences converging into a unique auditory journey.

Azula got first known for his mind bending Trance productions. His unique style quickly rose the attention of labels such as CRUDE, BCCO, Speedmaster Records, or Underzone, to name a few. As a DJ and producer from Berlin he could not get around partying and dancing to all different genres of techno music, though his style matured quite a lot over the years. 

Azula developed a sound that is focused on pushing the energy forward and creating an electrifying vibe. His sound is ‘driving, groovy and hyponotic’ - making it impossible to resist shaking your hips and dancing along. Punching kicks, distinctive basslines, energetic synthesizers and groovy percussions are pushing the energy throughout the whole set. In his sets you will find the finest selection of different subgenres, being fused together in a very unique symbiosis.

His first EP is waiting to be released in February 2024 and will showcase all the different influences the young producer has experienced.
