A long-time favorite in his native country, Gadi Mitrani has been representing the Turkish underground with esteem since first bursting onto the scene over 15 years ago. A true visionary, Mitrani is considered an integral figure among Turkey’s close-knit community of DJs, producers, label owners and live acts. Nonetheless, it is testament to his unyielding dedication to electronic music that his talent is rightly beginning to earn the kudos it deserves outside of his motherland.

A highly technical DJ renowned for his ability to mix four tracks between analog and digital, Mitrani is also famed for his live, ‘in booth’ remixes. However, it’s his sheer eclecticism that continues to bring him to the attention of some of the scene’s most celebrated dance floors. Soon based in Miami (where he will act at Behrouz’s Do Not Sit on the Furniture Club), Mitrani’s adopted city is renowned the world over for its inclusive, diverse and colourful vibes. In short, it’s a city that neatly mirrors his own unique approach to his craft.

A special breed of selector who’s unafraid to take risks in the booth -- and and an individual who takes great pleasure in bringing listeners on an unpredictable journey in sound, Mitrani cuts an animated figure behind the decks, and is a DJ who loves nothing more than getting ‘lost in the moment’. Supported by the likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Behrouz, Lee Burridge, Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur, he’s also someone who’s just as comfortable in warm-up mode as he is the peak time slot. What’s more, Mitrani has also rocked stages recently at Burning Man for the likes of Robot Heart and Incendia Dome, while further gigs in Ibiza and at Off Sonar speak volumes of a man who’s clearly destined for great things.

From a production perspective, Mitrani has repped some of the best-known labels in his field. In 2015, debuted on Kompakt KX courtesy of ‘Key of Stillness’, a suitably momentous cut that introduced him to a whole new audience and duly elevated his status within the global electronic music process. Supported by some of the planet’s best-known DJs, it’s sits neatly alongside a discography that also boasts credits for the likes of Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, Lee Burridge & Hoj’s Tale & Tone, Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat. With a string of gigs in the pipeline stretching out all the way to the end of the year, 2020 is sure to prove a pivotal few months for one of the scene’s hardest-working and most humble DJs.

➤ About:
Hailing from the Mother City - Cape Town, Dylan Munro has been lighting up dance floors alongside both local and international acts such as Just Her, Tim Engelhardt, Djuma Soundsystem, Floyd Lavine, Jazzuelle, Sides, & many more all across South Africa. Driven by the drum, he is known for tantalizing his listeners who have a love for the space that lies between Afro House & Progressive House music.
It all started when he received a djembe from his Nonno in the late 1990s. Dylan, a child at the time, would entertain his family by hitting the drum & dancing. This was his first memory of entertaining & expressing himself through music. Later, Dylan joined his school choir & marimba band in Phokeng - North West, allowing him to expand his creativity through music & art. When he finished school Dylan moved from Rustenburg to Johannesburg. Here he was exposed to a different lifestyle, giving him a bigger perspective on clubbing culture & electronic music. He spent long hours every weekend exploring this unknown world of underground music communities. Dylan instantly fell involve with the dance floor, a place where diversity is united in celebration of music.  
Dylan began to form relationships with DJ’s & other artists, eventually influencing him to move to Cape Town & pursue a career in music. He studied at Cape Audio College for a year before entering the events industry as a DJ in 2016. Since then, Dylan has influenced the Cape Town scene by consistently delivering groovy-high-pressure sets. He has landed gigs across South Africa & has played at well-established festivals such as Sexy Groovy Love, Kinky Summer, Feastival & Equinox Experience. He has also performed at some of South Africa’s hottest venues, which include Truth Night Club, Mødular, Reset, Grand Africa, Shimmy Beach Club, & The Living Room, to name a few.

The openness of you all to explore new styles outside your normal comfort zones with us has been really heart-warming, and I will carry so many fond memories of our gigs with me - I hope we get to play for you all again one day!

This mix follows my INSEAD journey, from the highs of meeting everyone in P1 to the lows of the darker times during the year. Every track I’ve included in this mix is attached to a very specific memory from this year (if you’re interested, feel free to ask me about individual tracks!).
