The Bavarian duo Decent Rides and is the lead character of the next Apparel Music story, told in four tracks on their new EP ‘Let Your Hair Down’. The eclectic pair of producers (Sebastian and Jesko) hailing from Munich, delivers a sparkling record perfectly fitting Apparel Music’s taste, showing their uncommon expertise in constructing captivating House beats. The EP, out digitally the next 3rd of December 2021, is a sinusoid of sonic excitement starting slowly but firmly with the opening (and title) track ‘Let Your Hair Down’, then accelerating the pulse with a dance floor belter like ‘Spirit From The Streets’ and organically slowing down the heart rate with ‘Plastic Rain’ and with the closing, intense rhythmic groove of ‘Otis’.

Franco-Algerian musical nomad Elisa Elisa lands on Heist with her debut EP ‘What about me’ full of heavy drums, thrilling acid lines and her own dreamy vocals  

With a wild fusion of musical roots, Elisa Elisa has found her sound in emotive, percussion driven house. She uses her own vocals to add atmospheric depth to her tracks and with a knack for acid lines and driving chords, her tracks have the type of energy that could keep you going all night long. Her music first popped up on our radar after her releases on Heat Up (topping the charts with her debut release), and He.She.They with the track ‘Girl I got you’, that got rinsed by the Heist crew since its release. Her recent release on Melé’s Club Bad records, Panorama bar gigs and a feature in the book ‘Lady of the House’ about women in electronic music really helped cement her position as a rising voice in modern day dance music. 

The ‘What about me’ EP kicks off with warehouse anthem ‘Lift me up’. Roughed up drums and toms set the pace while Elisa Elisa chants in loopy fashion ‘Our rhythm is moving’. It’s a fitting vocal for this track, that reaches its full energy when it breaks down into ravey stabs, uplifting vocal chops and a nasty acid line. 

The original of ‘You no good to me’ takes a more stripped back approach and sees the artist dive into a rave-tinged drum workout with added vocal chops and a killer acid line. The EP closes off with “Whistle me”; a deep burner with a Midwest-inspired synth progression, and -of course- whistles.   

As a bonus, we’ll be releasing an amazing remix of this EP just before summer by man of the moment Melé. It’s fitting that he was so enthusiastic about this release and chose to remix ‘You no good to me’, since he just released an EP by Elisa Elisa himself on his excellent ‘Club Bad’ imprint. His version is a bubbly electronic affair that has his worldly percussive style all over it. He cleverly chops Elisa Elisa’s vocal and adds layers and layers of tropical bad-assery on a track that grooves like Brazilian carnival and packs a punch like the Liverpool warehouse parties Melé grew up with.  

There’s a great crossover energy in Elisa Elisa’s debut on Heist between all the good things of house music, acid and African rhythms and we’re excited to have her on the label.

“All I Want” by Laurian includes all the elements of 90s classics with prominent use of the 909, while “I Feel Brand New” by Dale Cooper (marking his debut as a producer) falls into a garage house vein, halfway between New York and London. Flau. C delivers a deep, mental, and progressive track with “My Heart, My Soul,” reminiscent of Mr. G. Finally, “Pour le trac” by Hayon is a sort of ode to synthesizers and analog machines.

"Cleveland based label 904L World Class Sound delivers the third EP from their ever growing discography. Up next is a release from label boss Sound On Tape titled ‘Gods Don’t Die’ alongside a more club ready remix from Brooklyn based producer and DJ, Mike Nasty. 

The release kicks off with the title track ‘Gods Don’t Die’. Employing introspective keys and subtle broken beats with gospel vocals from Kyle Kidd, the track is a versatile jam fit for numerous settings. On the flip, Mike Nasty’s remix leans on a four/four house beat and soulful keys for a dance floor ready reimagining. 

The original will be out on 7th June with the remix dropping on 28th June. 

Hailing from Cleveland, OH, Sound On Tape draws influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, and Sticky as well as deep seated Black gospel icons CL Franklin, Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir, and Mahalia Jackson. 

His first EP via 904L World Class Sound called ‘Hush Harbors’ cements his unique blend of electronic music rooted in Garage, 2-Step, Jazz and beyond. This was followed up by the label’s sophomore release via Sullivan! Who delivered a subtle, hypnotic minimal house EP. "

Italy’s Flaze inaugurates his Flaze Musique imprint this July with the ‘All Night’ EP, comprising two origins cuts in his signature raw, disco-tinged House style. With many years under his belt operating in the House music world, making his beginnings in the 90’s, formerly operating as a member of the much lovedRuff Stuff.

And more recently flying solo under the Flaze guise with releases on the likes of Esuoh, Entrepôt and Bare Bones Wax, this Italian artist has firmly established himself as a solid purveyor of raw party starting productions. Now Flaze marks another milestone in his career with the launch of his own imprint, Flaze Musique.

Title-cut ‘All Night’ opens the EP, a sample heavy dance floor workout fuelled by
looped disco licks, bright strings and a bouncy bass groove, underpinned by a crisp rhythm section. ‘Got Around’ then closes the EP, a nod to the 90’s with a choppy, bumping house feel as the composition dynamically retracts and unfolds through funk guitar licks, elongated bass tones, organic percussion and dynamic filter work throughout.
