By far the simplest way to present Jason Hersco’s third EP on Apparel Music’s catalogues, is by praising his ever evolving way to produce uncluttered, straightforward music. The Canadian producer, with his four-stack digital record called ‘Images’, is able to carry out again such a difficult task, which is composing extremely sophisticated and detailed tunes, making ‘em look and sound so simple. She hides her traumatic past and complex inner struggles behind layers of wit, artistic talent, and multiple identities. Shallan’s journey is one of self-discovery, as she battles to reconcile her true self with the masks she wears to protect herself and those she loves. Her story explores themes of trauma, identity, and resilience. This I tried to capture in this track.

Serge Santiago provided the first release on Jack Said What a year ago, the Italo-tinged ‘Ear Racer’ followed by euphoric summery house cut ‘You Got Me’ and ‘Rave Dance’ featuring Jack Said What label founder Irvine Welsh, and then the ’11:11’ album — his first ever solo album, released on November 11th 2022. And you can’t keep the golden boy down. He’s already onto his next body of work, and the first teaser is now dropping. His brand new ‘Love Is A Feeling’ lays a feelgood sample on top of Gerd Janson/Running Back bassline keys and skippy beats, leading to a dynamic house track that DJs will rush to add to their collections for this latest Summer Of Love.
This is the sixth single release by Serge Santiago on the new and burgeoning Brighton-based electronic music label Jack Said What, founded by long-term producer Steve Mac, music journalist Carl Loben and the Trainspotting author Irvine himself.
Serge Santiago as a solo artist continues to attract deserved hype. Previously he was one half of some of the most successful DJ duos in dance music including Radio Slave, Waze & Odyssey and Retro/Grade, releasing on leading dance labels including: Sony, Ministry of Sound, Southern Fried, Madtech, Tsuba, Dirt Crew, Edible, Relief and Nothing Else Matters. Having played around the world at trailblazing clubs including Fabric, Space, The End, Elrow and Panorama Bar, he is now also revelling in his own residency at Brighton’s newly relaunched Stompa Phunk nights.

Dynamic duo Ubblahkan forge solid house music, shot through deep veins of techno and disco. Following up their debut EP Diamonds, the Belfast boys are back with a scintillating release of original disco tinged, deep house music.

Muffle Shuffle, the electrifying new EP by Gary Quinn and Dale Hooks of Ubblahkan showcases the mesmerising vocals of the talented, once X-Factor star, Roberta Howett. Roberta's enchanting vocals provide the perfect complement to Ubblahkan's masterfully crafted 'Sun In My Sky' and features again on the excellent club focussed remix by Pangaea Disco boss Theon Bower.

Exploring darker, deeper and even the soulful side of electronic music, Ubblahkan's sound bridges the gap between house, disco and techno and has received support from the likes of Danny Krivit, Dr Packer, Maya Jane Coles, Danny Tenaglia, Seamus Haji.
