Antarts addiction to Jungle/Drum&Bass began in 1993 when he got his hands on a DJ Hype tape from the RuffStuff series. Shortly afterwards, he started buying vinyl and DJing. From 1995 on, he was involved as a co-promoter in various indoor and outdoor events in and around Bern. Particulary memorable are the parties with Nicky Blackmarket and Stevie Hyper D in 1995 at Club Blunt in Münchenbuchsee and the 10th Anniversary Tour of Metalheadz with Storm and Doc Scott in the Grosse Halle of the Reitschule in Bern in 2004 - two nights that under certain aspects helped pave the way for Berns D&B scene. As a DJ, he entertained the crowd at various events such as Restless at Bierhübeli, Playground at Kornhausforum, Reactivate at Via Felsenau, Darkside at Dachstock and at locations such as the Frison in Fribourg, the Vinyl Club in Lausanne and the Lake Parade in Geneva. The years pass, D&B has evolved, the addiction remains. Antart is far from ready to go into detox.
