Soul Frequency Drum & Bass Show 29/05/2025 with Moakz Guest Mix

Cooking up a classic Drum&Bass selection for the incoming (hopefully) hot summer days is our French bro Alexandre aka DJ Slap from Béziers in the south of France, a veteran promoter, DJ and founder of internationally acclaimed straight up D&B label Weapons of Choice Recordings. DJ Slap got hooked to the music after the first wave hit the world in `95, when he got his hand on a S.O.U.R. label (R.I.P.) compilation with some classic Shy FX Jungle on them. In the Y2K he moved to London for two years. In that time Alex started to host his own events with friends in squat places in clubs, but also built up his own collection and DJ profile. Upon his return to France he got himself his own pair of turntables and started to practice heavily whilst also promoting on a more professional level in-between France and Switzerland, hosting artists like DJ Hype or Alix Perez.  Nurtured and inspired by Slap’s profound love of the broad spectrum of Drum&Bass, the French label, established in 2015, featured a respective roster of local and international talent such as DJ Limited, David Oven, Furney or NC-17, to name but a few with remixes by Quadrant & Iris, Bou & L-Side amongst others, but is also constantly on the lookout for promising newcomers.
We’re very pleased to feature DJ Slap on short notice and hope you enjoy his banging selection of classics in true rollers fashion!
