Intrigue with Ben Soundscape & Bachelors of Science - 25 April 2025

Cooking up a classic Drum&Bass selection for the incoming (hopefully) hot summer days is our French bro Alexandre aka DJ Slap from Béziers in the south of France, a veteran promoter, DJ and founder of internationally acclaimed straight up D&B label Weapons of Choice Recordings. DJ Slap got hooked to the music after the first wave hit the world in 1995, when he got his hand on a S.O.U.R. label (R.I.P.) compilation with some classic Shy FX Jungle tracks on them. In the Y2K he moved to London for two years and in that time Alex started to host his own events with friends in squats, clubs, but also built up his own vinyl collection and DJ profile. Upon his return to France he got himself his own pair of turntables and started to practice heavily whilst also promoting on a more professional level inbetween France and Switzerland, hosting artists like DJ Hype or Alix Perez.  Nurtured and inspired by Slap’s profound love of the broad spectrum of Drum&Bass, the French label, established in 2015, featured a respective roster of local and international talent such as DJ Limited, David Oven, Furney or NC-17, to name but a few, with remixes by Quadrant & Iris, Bou & L-Side amongst others and is also constantly on the lookout for promising newcomers.
We’re very pleased to feature DJ Slap on short notice and hope you enjoy his banging selection of classics in true rollers fashion!

Breach was first release all over the place, and it still a bit is. Many of the tracks were started a long while ago but only had been pieced together around the end of 2023, and was officially released in 2024.

There is a bit of Industrial techno, psytrance and experimental noise beats.
Inspiration was mostly from Alien, my love for the mid 2015s club scene, and just weird stuff.
