It is about the vulnerability of bringing a new partner home to meet your family, and how a breakup would hurt not just you, but also your family members who have fallen in love with that person. At  the same time it highlights the depth of family connections, noting that while the singer might be emotionally "fine" after a breakup, his family members could be devastated, because "...there are more hearts, than mine!"
