This is a recording of a live solo performance on clarinet and soprano saxophone at the City Kirche in Koblenz, Germany on 27. March 2015. I played to a six-channel sound installation of my electroacoustic work that had been on all day. Free improvised music is what I'm up to these days, mostly solo, mostly soprano, and I'm beginning to record in places that offer interesting acoustics. The City Church does not have interesting, but fantastic acoustics, and the installation / performance project will be documented as an album on my label trente oiseaux.

LES VOIX DU PASSÉ : CHANTENT L'AVENIR : CLAIR DE LUNE is my most recent electro-acoustic composition of music to date. It is based on what is the oldest known ( 1860 ) recording known of a human voice. I created this piece for AU CLAIR DE LA LUNE,a limited edition 2CD compilation of works based on the said recording, and released by Infrequency ( <a href="http://www.infrequency.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.infrequency.org</a> ). The about 10 seconds long recording of somebody singing 'Au clair de la lune' is the only material used for this roughly 15 minutes long composition, and the compositional process involved quite a bit of improvisation, leaving me with the feeling that the piece sort of created itself.
