13.04.2022 ©️. Et voici pour vous mon nouveau titre "Chant de liberté" en collaboration avec Cecilia. Elle a le talent de faire des textes en forme d'accroche narrative, qui s'apparente à celle des contes et des histoires modernes.
J'ai simplement essayé d'habiller le texte de solfège froid pour qu'il ne reste que le souffle féminin de la chanteuse.

And here is for you my new title "Song of freedom" in collaboration with Cecilia. She has the talent to make texts in the form of narrative hook, which is similar to that of the tales and the modern stories.
I have simply tried to dress the text with cold solfeggio so that only the feminine breath of the singer remains.

Following June's "[QR]V.172.TAM.24", featuring tracks by Avision, DJ Deep and Deetron, Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR label is back with another vinyl-only release.  This varied 6-pack, coded "[QR]V.200.SPK.24" is comprised of exclusive tracks from members of the extended COD3 QR family: Skatman, Works Of Intent, Yann Lean, and Joaquim Plossu & Salem Focus, alongside Jules Wells' "Dreamer" (released digitally on the label in May) and Squal G's "Waiting 4U" (from April).

Skatman, the Berlin based, Tunisian born DJ, producer and label head of Cognitive Prophecy follows up his huge COD3 QR track "Tribute to a Dancefloor" with the deep, groovy and aptly titled "Transcending House".  He has already gained recognition for his approach to electronic music, bridging the gap between classic and contemporary with tracks on Innervisions and Correspondent, becoming one of the most intriguing and captivating artists.

Jules Wells who delivered the infectious "The Clap" on COD3 QR 016 is back with the retro House sound of "Dreamer".  Jules Wells is from Bordeaux, France.  Strongly influenced by the Motor City, Jules has released on the likes of Submerge, Twilight 76, KMS, Planet E, Brique Rouge and Logos (Macedonia).

Works Of Intent, a core member of the UK South Asian collective DAYTIMERS and Emotional Weaponry label owner, has recently released an acclaimed guest mix for the legendary John Digweed's Transitions radio show.  Known for his ability to blend emotive storytelling with rhythmic precision, he follows up his "Richer Sound" album (released last year on the label) with the intricate and uncompromising "Subversive".

Producer and manager of the Slates Records label, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the early '90s.  Initially, he practised his art as a DJ before turning to machines and computers as he progressed with production.  Never sticking to a single style, instead, allowing inspiration to lead him, he nevertheless remains in the Techno spirit, as heard on "Waiting 4U".

A multi-faceted composer and DJ, Yann Lean also works as a sound engineer for himself and other artists.  Whether working as a duo with Madben and their side project Trunkline or as a solo artist, he has won the trust and support of prestigious labels such as KMS, Bedrock, Planet Rhythm, Skryptom and Materia, as well as COD3 QR who released "Hope" in 2020.  Now he's back with tribal drums on "To Get Close".

French born, Mexican resident Joaquim Plossu has been making music as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer for the past 20 years with releases on COD3 QR, 31 Recordings, Fokuz, Repertoire, Deep Heads, Planet Rhythm and more.  Both music composer and producer for TV and films, as well as Drum & Bass producer in his spare time, he teams up again with Leeds (UK) based Salem Focus (Fokuz Records / Soulvent / Galacy) for some energetic D&B on closing track "Cosmic".

Here is a rare example of an early Jacques Favino guitar from the 1960s! Despite it's unconventional looks, it is a very, very serious instrument with all the bark, volume, and tone you'd expect from the best vintage Favinos, Busatos, Selmers, etc.

Jacques was building two models during this period: the modèle 1A and the fancier modèle 1B. Like the famous Enrico Macias model, this Favino 1B features block MOP fret markers, laminated Maple back and sides, and a spruce top. The fingerboard and headstock are bound and there is a typical Favino three piece maple neck. The frets are like new and the guitar was also refitted with a DR tailpiece and vintage SB tuners.

The overall proportions are significantly smaller then typical Favinos. The body is a comfortable 15" wide, 3 7/8" deep, and the scale length is 635mm.

The top has a beautiful bombe (top arch) which gives the guitar a really explosive tone. The back is also beautifully arched, more so then on most Favinos. It actually looks more like a Busato back which are known for their extreme back arch.

The guitar is strung with 10 gauge Argentine strings and has relatively low action. Very, very easy to play. Tonally the guitar is quite exceptional and compares well with other top rated vintage Gypsy guitars. It's overall tonal characteristic is very bright with a gorgeous singing high end. This guitar will cut through anything and could be described as the ultimate campfire guitar. The small body definitely attenuates the low end focusing more energy into the high frequencies. Interestingly, this guitar doesn't have the typical nasal, midrangey quality of the bigger Favinos. It's actually a bit more like a Busato (but with less low end.): clear, bright, and bell like. This may be partially explained by the shallower neck angle this guitar has...it's neck angle is more like a Selmer then a Favino.

The top seems to be entirely crack free and appears to have been oversprayed at some point. There are a few places that have very small cracks on the lower treble bout and the upper bass bout. These don't seem serious and don't appear very deep. There is also a place close to the tailpiece were there is some separation of the binding. At some point there was a strap peg in the heel but it was removed with only the hole remaining.
